: I'm not quite sure what it is to be honest... Needless to say I'm extremely salty about them continuing to butcher my favorite series or wasting money on making unneeded spinoffs that we could've honestly done without... Where the hell is the expected Animal Crossing console game? Instead what we get is a fricking Mario Party ripoff with Animal Crossing characters on it... I was expecting, as were most others, a real Animal Crossing game. I think eventually I'm going to have the same love/hate relationship with them that I have with the Assassin's Creed series... I was such a fuge fan of what series... That series was one of my absolute favorite series and then AC3 came out... I get that they didn't want Desmond on there anymore but dammit if you follow the modern story it was hinted that he'd be a bamf by the third one killing modern day Templars left and right. They could've just given Desmond a more valiant sendoff than the crap they pulled at the end of AC3. Then started some other Assassins Creed arc starting from Black Flag onward. But nono. They simply couldn't have that and had to kill him off the most half assed way possible. I could ramble on and on about this tbh. XD I'm both eager and not eager to watch that Assassins Creed movie coming out on December... I've never played either games or any other games in the series so I'm not sure if there's any real lore or anything that I'd be missing... Is it okay to start from a later game? Can't you buy a new battery online and see if that will do the trick? I'm sure amazon might have some cheap thrid party batteries that would work on your laptop? I actually broke my laptop once. XD I spent a long time trouble shooting the cause on my parents pc and managed to get it back up and running after a month of trial and error. We didn't really have money to get it fixed at the time and I needed it for school. Even managed to transfer the files I wanted to keep to a flashdrive I bought at Best Buy for like $10.

I've always wanted to play on pc more than I do now but well to be able to do so would require getting a pc that's wayyyy out of my price range. I've typically been a multiconsole gamer that enjoys games on the big 3. I honestly wish I knew how to use the item editor better because I would make a buttload of unsavory things. XD Yeah it might've been your previous control scheme? Idk I personally had no problems playing the first rebooted one on my 360. Still haven't gotten the 2nd one... I think it's probably because of the emphasis it puts on Lee and Clem's relationship. Throughout the game, you see their relationship grow from that of two strangers pulled together due to their unfortunate surroundings, and grows into a cute father/daughter type of relationship. The lengths Lee goes through to protect Clem from the dangers of the outside world to the point of even sacrificing his own well being, and eventually his life. It's a very human story in a very inhuman world. That's why I like it anyways. Telltale did a magnificent job both in the world building and the character development.

From my personal experience playing the game, the controls themselves aren't clunky. Ofcourse I only played it once and never mustered the courage to give it another go (I really need to get over my fear of playing 3D horror games...). My main gripe with it is that inventory screen is always accessible so you can't actually pause the game... So like you could be getting ammo from your invo on the bottom screen while a zombie, or several are rapidly making their way towards you. I also didn't like how if your survivor dies, you wake up at the base but as someone else. In my opinion, making the character you play as interchangeable kind of ruins the overall immersion and makes you care less about whether they even live or die. Idk. Lol.

: I'm perfectly fine with him having a cameo in the show but I really just want to see a new face... I think they can tell the large majority of people are tired of Ash. I think that's partly why this new season is so ground breaking when compared to past season of the pokemon anime. Quite frankly I wouldn't even mind if they like dropped Ash altogether and focused on another character from the pokemon games themselves. I myself am extremely fond of Red and would love it if he got his own anime not only so that we can finally get a new face (Yeah I know there was that one special) but because I feel like his journey as a pokemon trainer would be a huge contrast to Ash's own. I feel that if they want to continue to improve on the pokemon franchise as a whole, they need a new face. In my opinion they could have idk, Ash's children as the protagonists, maybe to make it interesting they could be twins with completely different training styles, personalities and goals that agree to travel the world together since they've never been apart from one another. Then at the end of that first season, it could have them parting ways and then the following season would be broken up into episodes that follow one twin or the other on their different pokemon journey's while getting advice from Ash himself. Heck one of them could even inherit Pikachu from Ash himself. Idk. As you can probably tell, I've given this whole thing a lot of thought.

Well they made a movie adaption of the first Mortal Instruments book. Not that I liked that series, my reaction to it is mixed. I actually tried to read the prequel series but idk... Maybe at some point I'll go back to it and it may manage to change my mind, idk. The movie adaptation of it was critically panned though. Hopefully they somehow manage to make a great adaptation of the UnWind series. I would hate for people to base the series solely on a bad movie adaptation but it usually happens seeing as most people watch the movies first and read the books, if at all, later after already having formed some sort of opinion on the series in question.

: I really like your avi! Super cute! Welcome to my thread! I really like all the custom clothing people come up with! they're really cute. ^.^ This site is a nice change from the likes of gaia and neopets. Both of those sites have gone bad... What types of things do you like that are non subeta related? I myself enjoy video games, reading and drawing. I also like alot of different shows like Rick and Morty, Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Game of Thrones, Mr Robot, Ajin, Attack on Titan just to name a few.

I would love to see something like that happen in Pokemon. It would be a nice way to mix it up, which I agree is something they need to do. I think the anime got new writers this season, hence why it's so good and different from what we're used to seeing. I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with this, I would be majorly disappointed if they dropped the Ash/Serena angle after all of this. Wouldn't put it past them though.

That's the worst thing about poorly done movie adaptations, they ruin the books for people who haven't read them. Personally, I would try to read the books before watching a movie based off them, mainly because I know the movie won't be as good. It's difficult for me to think of any adaptations that were as good as the books themselves. Well, I hope this turns out well for you.

Oh lord don't even get me started on the shit they pulled with Desmond. It was so rushed and bullshit and honestly they could've done a lot more (like, y'know, LET HIM LIVE) instead of just killing him off like that. I mean okay you just got rid of your main protagonist and.... now what??? what the hell are you going to do for the next fifty games you're going to crank out? Oh, right. Maybe you should've kept Desmond alive so you could actually have a coherent plot (and ACTUAL parkour around New York like where was that when we needed it? I would spend hours doing that, just like how I spend hours running around New York in Prototype lmao)

And now I unfortunately can't. The model of ASUS that I have has a built-in battery that can't be taken out or else I would just play my laptop on purely outlet power :c

And exactly!! Like, there's just something about the father/daughter relationship that Lee had with Clem that we're just never gonna get back and that's sad. The Last of Us sort of filled that gap a little bit, but it was a completely different game in a sense, other than the generally same theme.

Yeah I noticed that when you die you just sort of start over as someone new and I was like??? how many disposable people does this place have lmao I'd still enjoy it because zombie game but it would probably be one of those games that I pick up, play, set down, and forget about for months.

: I remain ever hopeful that it won't be that way. I really want a new protagonist... What other game series do you enjoy playing? Are you a fan of most of Nintendo's franchises?

Yeah definitely. I hope that they do good by the series.

: Oh my gosh yes!!!!! I thought I was the only one that liked the modern day story and how the first game alluded to you eventually turning Desmond into a bamf killing machine that would be parkouring the streets of New York whilst taking out the templar order. I unlike most others, really enjoyed the segments with Desmond in them especially when they allowed you to free roam. His character changes drastically throughout the series as well and has alot of depth to it so idk what the Desmond haters were always saying about him being bland. His death in AC3 had me just fuming at it because I actually not only enjoyed the modern day segments and him but saw the importance they had to the overall plot. I hate that they retconned him as it seriously ruined my enjoyment of the series and the plot isn't the same since. I'm so glad I found a kindred spirit on this! It used to be my absolute favorite series because of it's intricate, unique and interesting plot. Now I get the games if I feel like it. Which, I haven't felt the need to play since AC4. I can't get behind the whole, "YOU are the new AC protagonist!" cop out. I'll probably go and see the movie coming out this year but I won't have any real expectations because they really disappointed me with how they handled Desmond and his story...

Awww... That is a real bummer. :( Hopefully you can save up to get yourself another one! ^.^

Was the second season not as good as the first one? Yeah TLOU is very different from TWD.

Yeah the whole easily replaceable survivors thing was a huge turn off for me. I would probably pick it up on sale though and play it. XD I'm such a cheapo gamer. Lol. I really want to try out some 3D horror games. It's odd really. I like horror movies but I can't play 3D horror games. Lol.

I'm not a big video game player actually. Beyond Pokemon and Mario, I haven't played many video games at all. I think it was due more to not having the money to buy the consoles and games when I was younger, so I never got pulled in. Instead, I'm more of an outdoor/reading type of person. And of course, watching tv, when I have the time, although it's getting harder to find good quality shows nowadays lol.

What are your favorite video games?

Desmond was my adorable son, he deserved so much better than the shit ending he got, and he should've honestly gotten an entire game based around present-day New York and the Templar order there as well. Not everything has to go back to the past, Ubisoft, honestly... I'm interested in the movie, but extremely wary of how they'll probably handle it. With how much of a cash cow the series has become, I'm wondering if they're just using the movie to drag more people into the mess they've made. :/

I'm definitely not getting a different laptop xD I can hopefully send this one in once I get the money to, the ~150$ it'll take to send in and replace the battery is a lot cheaper than the 1400$ it cost to buy the laptop in the first place :P

I don't think I really ever watched the entirety of the second season of TWDG. I started to, back when it was in its super-hype-new-game mode, but I lost interest and even my favorite youtubers couldn't bring that back. :c

I definitely recommend Outlast for 3D horror games to try! The DLC is great too, and the sequel is coming out sometime in the future as well, and I'm interested what they do with that. I can definitely understand that though, it's just like how I can watch people play horror games fine, but I can't play them myself without having a heart attack :P I still haven't beaten Outlast, but I've watched multiple playthroughs of it lmao

: Oh wow. I remember my first console ever was a Sega Genesis. Sadly Sega no longer makes consoles and apparently has no idea what to do with their franchises either since most of their Sonic games are either decent or huge misses but never amazing like they used to be. Then my dad got me a GBC with Pokemon Red and Yellow. I'd describe myself as an indoor person that does a bit of everything. I read, I write, I draw, I play video games and I watch tv shows/cartoons on my free time as well. If you haven't already watched these try Game of Thrones, How to Get Away With Murder, Mr. Robot, Ajin, Attack on Titan and Your Lie in April.

I play a plethora of games across all 3 consoles. I used to be a huge Assassin's Creed fan until they retconned the protagonist out of there in AC3. Now I have an immense love/hate relationship with that series. That was however my all time favorite. Now I'm not sure but I do have several other series I really enjoy playing. If you're into fps (first person shooters) games, I suggest trying out the Halo series or the Borderlands series. Both are immense fun and the Borderlands series is somewhat unique in that it's an fps rpg (role playing game). If you want a game with a good story, you should try anything by Telltale, those people are geniuses when it comes to story driven games. Out of all the life simulation games out there, nothing grants you more freedom than the Sims series. If you're into mindless violence or need a game to play when you are pissed, you can never go wrong with the GTA series. Dishonored is a fairly new series but has so much damn potential to be something super amazing and with the sequel coming out probably next year, I can't wait to see what they do with it. I've played and loved the first game in that series. I also really like the reboot of Tomb Raider, I played the first one and the ending was kinda cheesy and cliche but the overall game was just absolutely amazing and I recommend it to everyone. Far Cry 3 had me the moment I saw Vaas in the trailer and while he may not have been the real central antagonist, he will always hold a special place in my heart as one of the best bamf's ever. Lol. Aside from that, it's also a great fps game where the emphasis is on surviving in an island full of people that want to capture you and either kill you or sell you as a slave. Any Elder Scrolls game is also great. I myself have only played Skyrim and Oblivion but this rpg series is amazing nonetheless. Bully: Scholarship Edition is a great game. It was very controversial when it first came out due to people incorrectly assuming you play as the bully in the game, when in fact the character you play as is the victim of bullying. It's a very fun and unique game. People have been hoping and outright telling the developers, Rockstar to make a new one but they have yet to make a sequel to Bully. Either way it's definitely a must play in my opinion. Any Zelda game is also great. Except for Zelda 2 and the cdi ones. Lol. You can ignore those. They can be played out of order since aside from OOT and MM, the stories in them are self contained in the game they take place in. Okami, any Smash Bros game, the Xenoblade Chronicles series, Bravely Default series, Muramasa. There's alot to be honest. XD Maybe tell me what you like in video games? I could also suggest some free pc pokemon fangames. I even know of two excellent free pc Mario and Luigi fangames.

: I totally agree! Sadly were in the minority as the reason Ubisoft did that was because most "fans" were bitching about how they hated Desmond and the modern day segments because the past ones were better and funner... So they decided to scrap him like yesterdays newspaper... Yeah it's the same thing I'm thinking with the movie... It's incredible to see how they turned such an amazing series into something more akin to COD. XD I really like their Watch_Dogs series and although the latest game looks as promising and unique as the first one, they'd better not pull an AC3 on me with it. >.> If you haven't tried their Child of Light game you really should. It's such a pretty game with such a unique battle system and an interesting story. It kinda feels like an interactive childrens book. Lol.

Will it still be able to run things though? I know that things with older hardware are incapable playing certain games or can but in low frames. Were you constantly upgrading it or something?

Yeah idk. The second season didn't catch my interest as much as the first did. Hopefully if they ever release a second The Wolf Among Us game that won't be the case. I had never heard of those comics prior to that game but now I hope to someday read them.

Nuuuuh. That game would terrify me. I've seen a playthrough of both Outlast and Whistleblower and I can't. XD Outlast is absolutely terrifying. I'd probably have nightmares about the big burly men that stalk the hallways and open the lockers if they suspect you're inside them. Lol. Or about the cannibal or the guy who turns inmates into his wives... I can't play that yet. Too advanced in the horror games ladder for me. Lol. I was thinking maybe of playing The Forest since it's scary but at the same time open? Plus you're surrounded by trees so if worst comes to worst you can whack the crazies to death with a stick. Lol. Or We The Happy Few. That game also caught my eye. I can't play anything in enclosed spaces yet. Lol. Though I suppose We The Happy Few is kinda enclosed but also kinda not since each district is pretty big?

I've heard that but now that they killed Desmond everyone is like "why would you kill the best character! what the fuck ubisoft!!!" like shut the hell up y'all caused this now dig your goddamn grave and lie in the shit that ubisoft is continuously trying to sell us now. I heard that Watch_Dogs was.... eeeeh in some regards, I wasn't really interested in it when it came out tbh I have heard of Child of Light though! It looks cool, but it's just a matter of finding the time to buy and play it at this point lol Have you heard of Ori and The Blind Forest?

It's not the hardware that's the problem unfortunately, the battery completely died and I can't pry it out and just use outlet power :s It runs games like an absolute dream, it just can't hold a charge at all anymore.

Yeah, I really wish they'd come out with more TWAU seasons like they have for TWDG, but I haven't heard anything :/ maybe they're waiting until TWDG runs its course?

Aha yeah I definitely agree with that. I honestly... can't really think of any other horror games that would be good stepping stones into 3D horror honestly. Amnesia: The Dark Descent, maybe? Or even something like Layers of Fear. Those focus more on half-story, half-horror and would probably make it easier to ease into the genre.

Sorry for the late reply, past couple days have been pretty crazy. Celebrated my sister's birthday, and just real life getting in the way. Wow, you sure know your video games! I'm impressed, I will definitely keep you in mind for any recommendations in the future. As long as it has a good storyline, I'm up for it. I need good storylines to keep me interested in just about anything I do.

And thanks for the tv recommendations! I will have to give some of those a try, when I can. I'm going to be starting to get ready to go back to school soon (next month), so I'm going to be focused on other things right now. Where did the summer go?

: I haven't heard that from AC lovers, just the opposite. Just checked online though and the comments are indeed riddled with people demanding they bring him back though. Lol. The irony is strong there. I'm sure most of them were the very ones who were like "the modern day elements suck and Desmond is bland as fuck". Well they'd be immensely wrong. The trailer made it seem more akin to the likes of GTA than anything else but it actually isn't anything like that. Unlike GTA, where you always play the villain, in Watch_Dogs, you play as an antihero who just wants to find out who the hell was responsible for his nieces death a year prior to the events in the game, so that he can avenge her and finally be able to move on with his life since it's remained stagnant since her death. It's actually more a story of loss than anything else. I highly recommend you give it another chance and ignore the naysayers. Plus the digital trips it has are super fun. My favorite being Spider Tank. Lol. Also if you haven't tried this next game as well, you should. Sleeping Dogs. So amazing too. Sadly, unlike Watch_Dogs, it doesn't look like that game will be getting a sequel anytime soon.

I understood that completely. I just assumed since it's been mia for a while, that once you got it up and running again, you'd also have to update the hardware in order to run games in the best settings.

Possibly. The Wolf Among Us had an "ending" that had just enough answers and questions that could easily warrant another sequel. I'd personally love more of it. Though they're extremely busy nowadays it seems. They're apparently working on a Batman game that I guess retells his origin story? I saw it on steam not too long ago.

I suppose I'll do my own research into what 3D horror games I can stomach. Lol. I tried to get into it with Resident Evil Revelations for the 3DS but I couldn't keep going after this one goopy lady starts to follow me everywhere around the ship by using the airvents. She'd literally pop up everywhere and in the most inopportune moments. Some people would say that that particular RE game isn't scary but quite frankly, I was terrified of the first boss battle in that game and had to take regular breaks in order to beat it. >.>

: Oh it's fine girl. I've had my fair share of a wild week. Kind of excited though because I was finally able to get a drawing tablet after years of asking for one and it should be getting here today or tomorrow. I have 2 different drawing apps on my 3DS but they don't compare to using something like Sai or another drawing program, with a drawing tablet. I've been told time and time again that drawing on those programs with one is wayyy easier. Girl video games are my life. Lol. My dream job would be getting paid to play them. Lol. I tend to be very critical of games and find myself rating them without meaning to. Sometimes I'd even write actual reviews of them on my tumblr. Lol. Well for good storylines I'd say anything by Telltale Games is a must. I also suggest To The Moon. Or if you want to try some free rpg maker horror games with good stories, I'd say try Misao, The Witch's House or Ib. To a lesser extent, Mad Father is also pretty good. As is something like The Crooked Man. those are all free pc games btw. Though your selection depends on what it is you have to play on atm.

Same here. Have one week left of vaycay then I'm back on. Hopefully to finally finish math and get it over with. Lol. What will you be taking?

Good luck with that, sounds like you're almost done. You got this! I'm taking cell biology, physics, biochemistry, forensic psychology, and terrorism. Congrats on the drawing tablet, it's always nice to get something you've always wanted! I'm sure you're going to have a blast with it. I could definitely see you doing something with video games as a career, it's something you definitely love.

It is tough, but I enjoy the coursework for the most part. Except organic chemistry, that was as bad as I had heard. All the horror stories are true lol. I think it also helps that I have a really great group of friends that I can get together with and just unwind. Every Friday night, we hang out in a dorm and play board/card games or watch a movie. ?

And I've been good, got hit with a bit of a summer cold a couple weeks ago, but I'm over that now. It's been pretty hot here, so I've been hanging around the house, not doing much. Enjoying the rest of my summer and my free time. Plus, today is my birthday, so there is that! 27 today, feels crazy to say. Unfortunately, it's been raining/cloudy all day, so couldn't do much outside.

Sorry to hear that you're feeling down, do you know what's bothering you?

Anyone who says Desmond was bland can fistfight me honestly, I loved him as a character and I hate the way they ended his story. I've heard of Sleeping Dogs but I never thought about playing it because I think there was something about the humor? or some other part of it that never caught me right.

Aaaaah, I see. My laptop is only like a year old so I wouldn't think so lol

They're making a Batman game, what?? lmao I never heard about that, I just thought that Telltale was too busy with TWDG to focus on much of anything else right now.

Aah yeah, Resident Evil isn't for the faint of heart sometimes xD even though it seems pretty mild, there's some places that can be super frightening to people who aren't used to that kind of genre.
