Good to know~ I understand what you mean by the stiffness. xD
I was thinking a black with white bows would work quite nicely xD
I'll let you know after I edit the bow lines then! Hopefully all will look appropriate!

What do you need help with --- Shading help (I just stink at shading) Brushes question: The bunnies are stamped with a brush I made myself in photoshop. How do I prove that I made the brush myself?
Was there a denial --- (paste denial here if any) Not... yet.

Can we take a look at the PSD files --- yes
Can we redline --- yes
Username --- Link to the overlay(s) --- Working Size on the left, Final Size on the right What do you need help with --- The last BG wearable I did was literal years ago. I'm simply lacking confidence in my ability to produce BG items because of the lack of progression in the subject matter. If anyone (also accepting opinions from more than one if you see someone else offering crits!) has any constructive criticism for me, I'd be happy to listen because I'd like the best chance at a successful submission at this and I'm somewhat fearful of the 10 denial rule on something I'm this anxious over =P Was there a denial --- Not yet, but if there is one I'll most likely be back.
Optional Can we take a look at the PSD files --- Only if this is absolutely the only way you can help me. I prefer only giving PSDs to people I know well and trust :X Can we redline --- Absolutely, go wild with it. Last Note Both and have given me crits and comments on this a few times today already. As stated before though I just really lack the confidence on BG items and so that's why I am here requesting help.
To me, the baseboard looks like part of the rest of the wood flooring, but is at a completely different angle. Probably because of the same kind of texture being put on it. I wonder if either omitting the texture or making it smaller + less noticeable would help ? You can also give the illusion of a different shape (like how some have that indent/curve to them) with the shading and see if it helps. It's also got a lot of contrast in the shading, but only seems to be three colors (highlight, base, shade; not counting the texture). I'd personally thin the lines some, especially on the carpet and the back planks. ... It looks like chocolate and I am hungry now.
I'd really like to keep that board wooden. :X But I'm struggling so hard to make it look obviously different. Part of me says I should simply suck it up and make it part of the actual floor boards instead of the base board T__T Do you think that might be a better idea?
I can def thin those lines up too. (all of this will need to be done in the morning, I am basically mush right now after spending about 5ish hours on this earlier and for some reason I am in writing mode instead now wat)
Some wood is painted ;) But I get what you mean ! Try doing the other things, lightening/making the texture smaller or giving the illusion of a shape. I think both would look nice. I don't think you have to settle on taking it out.
Oooh, I need a writing boost. Earlier I only had eyes on drawing a new wig for literally no reason other than finding some an stylist.
Oh sorry, haha. I didn't mean wood couldn't be painted, what I meant is that I still wanted it to match the wood flooring. This item was a contest winner in my New Years stuff I did, and they requested an ALL wood floor, and gave just varnished wood samples as the things they were interested in :X
incoherent screeching in your general direction C: LINK
(Also I am just dying over here, because this is literally like version 5 now lmao I could make a compilation of the changes at this point)
Squirts with water You need a vacation, you're working too hard. BUT, I think it looks good ! The new baseboard makes a huuuge difference.
Does the shading look right too on the baseboard? paranoid x10 intensifies Also this is the first version I did, if you want a good giggle; LINK Only slightly different =P
I think so !
Only slightly, with a big dash of "detail INTENSIFY" on that rug !

What do you need help with --- not sure what to fix.... the overlay is obviously a balloon? and it's cel shaded ,-,
Was there a denial --- (paste denial here if any) A custom clothing item you drew, Staff of the Just Balloon, submitted by LoftyBalloon, was denied for the following reason(s): • ITEM and OVERLAY: Gradient or soft shaded instead of cel-shaded • ITEM: Name, description, or image references a Subeta user • NOTE: In this case, there is nothing that specifically points to this being a balloon. Since it is in your username, we need a different name.
The thing I am seeing with the denial for this not looking like a balloon is partly because of the shading, and the tie at the end of the balloon. Redline / Assistance thingy
About the shading though, keep in mind that the bigger you draw, the more details are eaten when you shrink it down. To counter this you can work in darker contrasting colors and / or harder brushes with no soft edges.
Let me know if this makes sense and / or you have extra questions.
OMG THAT'S SO CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE i'll try shading it like that instead, heheh thanks <:

What do you need help with --- I am an absolute newbie to CWs so I'm hoping one of you lovely people can help me catch mistakes I've missed. ;A; The thing I'm most uncertain about is the shading -- is it too soft or is it acceptable?
Was there a denial --- No, I haven't submitted.

Can we take a look at the PSD files --- Sorry D:
Can we redline --- Yup!
hi there! First off, your HA is freaking cute, I loooove the colors!
Your cw is actually really great! The only thing that could potentially have issues is the 'ambiguous light source', or more commonly known as 'there doesnt seem to be a top left light source as per subeta's standard'!
I did a really quick example of it - essentially I added one layer of shadows onto our right and then one layer of highlights to indicate a light source n_n
Everything else seemed good!

edit: holy heck this thing is huge, sorry lol ;;
