I prefer creating because I care about names; I almost always have a couple of names in my notepad widget for when I'm able to get more pet slots.

I'd much rather create because of names. Sometimes you can find fun names in the adoption center, though! I also got Sariel by adopting her from someone else, and she's one of my most treasured pets. ❤

I like to adopt, mainly because I like to see what I can find in there. I usually end up changing the names anyway. I specially look for older IDs or specific birthdays, stats and of course nice names. But I have created a few of my pets too..so I can say its 50/50 to me.

I love it when I'm able to adopt pets, but I have a hard time finding names I like in the pound, these days. x: Evyline is a rare case of a pet I found in the pound that I immediately had an idea for. I also adopted Yvetta, though her name used to be Celiea (the spelling bothered me after a while and I'd put too much into training the pet to feel comfortable starting over), and I believe Edel as well? Ralis, Jaryd, and I think Isena were all adopted out to me by other users... goodness my memory is terrible haha. I think everyone else was created by me!

I have a long wishlist of pets that I'd love to have at some point (one of each species/experiments), and I don't necessarily have names to go with that wishlist, so I look for names to suit potential colourations for them mainly.

Sixteen of my pets are adoptees (ten of whom are Legacy), and the other nine are created pets and mostly fandom-associated (Harry Potter, WoW, Disney, TUGS, T&F and The Muppets), with -Starlight- being the only exception as I discovered that version of her name was finally available and I leapt on the chance to have it finally :)

For me it's create only since I don't want pets with random names. And I don't understand the low ID obsession and other crap.

I only do OCs and fan pets. (Stats, pet birthdays and all are totally separate from the characters themselves)

I have both adopted and created pets though not all from the adoption center. I've adopted some from other users as well.

I adopt mainly based on names or species though and not because of low id since I'm not part of the low id thing that's popular on here. Trilogie was adopted because of the pet being a zentu but was adopted with a random name that I later changed.

I do both... I have several adopted and several created. I love them all. I do end up reanaming most of the adopted.

i like creating and adopting, though it really just comes down to a particular name i really want. but i've gotta say, it feels good to adopt a pet!

Bit of both, depending on the situation. As most people said, I create my own pet if I know the name I'm aiming for is free. But as most of the time I don't know what to do with a pet beforehand, as of late I'm adopting. Most of the time I find a name that might inspire me into making a character out of the pet.

I adopt the most of my pets. :3 Saimiel, Miriel, Neniniel and Inuvariel are created.
