I have an idea : If someone birhtday can redeem birthday package from Subeta containing any random collection item or something worth

on your bday on neopets, RE chances were higher. I'd even just appreciate that - I need those new tempest books

I'm indifferent to a birthday package idea. I don't really think a random collection item would be a good idea, could devalue a lot of things and just opening it up to a random item without limits gives staff less control over the items.

I'd be up for something little on birthdays though.

I'd like a package with three random balloons and a random cake, along with a random r90-r98 item.

But, free collection item? Nah

I wouldn't mind them reviving some of the very old birthday items, cake, balloons, cards.

And the newer birthday stickers.

With a link you can click to receive one item randomly, but is only active on your actual birthday.

Wouldn't say no to a collection item, either, admittedly, but whatever.

Is there anything more to this idea than, "Give me free stuff, namely CSC items, on my birthday," or am I missing something? The birthday cake icon says it all...

So what happens when someone tickets in saying their birth date on the account is incorrect and it gets changed after the user already received an item that year?

I don't think items are really necessary.

I would -love- a feature that notifies people on your friends list ahead of time of an upcoming birthday.. or even just a page with your friend's birthdays listed on it.

Not sure if I would care much for a site-wide list, because that just screams 'omg, give me free stuff!' and I know many people would want to opt out. Something available for only friends who are planning to get you something either way would be helpful!

I'd like a little something on birthdays, too. Maybe increased RE chances, as said, and some perks like easier Crypts/Polar Ice Fields?

OK. SO. Around my birthday this year I was recovering from surgery and I was on some pretty gnarly sedatives. During one nap dream, I thought I was on Subeta and got a "message" from my active pet that all my pets had arranged a "surprise" for me. And it was like, a cake item and I think a site anniversary item from the year I joined (I dunno why, sedative dreams are weird). It was the ONLY dream I'd ever had involving a pet site, and so oddly specific that it stuck with me since January.

Maybe if they don't do the increased chance at REs or whatever, a basic birthday "package" can have flavor text to be from your pets or something, and be redeemable even if you're not on the site that exact day?

I stand by it being basic and not super high value items, though. Staff owe us nothing for just being born.

I think the loyalty box is just that, even though it will reward you on your "subeta birthday" for being a member for so and so many years.

This is one of the cutest things I've read in a while! I'd love something like that!! And that makes it special even without a pricey item: I like the idea of a message from your active pet saying, we got you something special! And then like two random items, a balloon and a cake/cupcake/cookie or something cute and sweet like that. It can literally be a mundane rarity item, something that already restocks. I know I would appreciate a little message, it's a really cute idea.

Expensive items, especially collection items, would be way too much. Though a nice message, or even just an event saying Happy Birthday, would be sweet. And I support the increased chance of RE.

But speaking of actual 'birthday packages', it'd be nice if there was an option at the Gift Center to send presents to someone who has celebrates their birthday today (and was online today/within the last 24hrs).

No need for a CSC item or anything above 100k, really. People have birthdays daily do you really think it's a good idea to fork that kind of stuff into the economy?

I think a cake/sticker arrangement by your pets is super sweet though. I also wouldn't mind a gift center option too because I like brightening people's days but don't have very many friends. This could be open to abuse though so I'm not too sure about that.

I wouldn't say no to more free stuff, but I kind of feel the yearly Loyalty Box works pretty well for celebrating a personal yearly event.

Edit: But reading upthread, that happy birthday from your pets RE sounds 100% adorable. Would want!

I wouldn't like expensive gifts coming from the site, and definitely not CSC or cash shop items, because an automatic gift from the site doesn't "mean" anything. I'd rather get one little thing from a friend or stranger, than an expensive item from the site.

I would like some little cute things though, like mentioned above: increased random events or better chance with crypts or ice fields. Those would still require you to be active on the site, so you're not just getting them for free, you still have to be here to get something out of it. Or wishes from our pets would be so cute! It could be several little events throughout the day, depending on how much you're online, like "Let's celebrate your birthday together", "come have a piece of cake with us", "you look younger every year", "we'll help with blowing out the candles", etc. If you don't have anyone to celebrate with in real life, little things like that could mean a lot!

Yeah I am in favor of adorable RE's from your pets and increased RE odds but that is it.

This^^ I don't care about the stuff, (the loyalty box is enough for me!), but cute little messages would be so adorable and fun :)

If a person could get a chance of a collection item every single year on their birthday that'd devalue the actual value of collection items really fast in a relatively short period of time, but I'd only be ok with an item if it was something that was relatively small in value like a small cake or something of that nature.

I'm of the agreement that the loyalty box fulfills the yearly birthday thing already pretty much, but birthday random events would be kind of cute, admittedly.

I have an idea to add, just a small idea, but perhaps, on your birthday only, it becomes free for your friends to send you gifts (instead of having to pay 1000 sP or more for gift wrapping).

I don't like the idea of getting free items/sP, but I like the idea of getting a few special perks, for instance:

• free gift wrapping for friends (as I mentioned above)
• you get a 15% main shop discount buff all day long
• increased RE chances

I also love the idea of just getting an alert that says happy birthday from your pets or something. An alert like that doesn't give you any free stuff, but would definitely brighten your day, I think.

i wouldnt say no to a free week of membership or something similar, add it to the time directly so it doesnt make 1 week medals devalue.

i dunno, some sorta perk would be nice, another b-day came and went for me and it was once again lackluster...
