Yes, yes, yes x 1000! This would be a fantastic addition (and might even boost the buying/selling of those CS items, like said).
I have a spreadsheet of all the challengers I currently have and recently thought about adding the locked ones in there too, but kind of gave up on that idea after realizing what a pain it is to check each one individually :D
If there's a toggle so I can turn it off to make the page smaller (battle page(s) bloat is realll) then sure. I personally am not ready to unlock CSC challengers. I don't need the clutter (yet). I can def see how it would be helpful for others, though.
Okay I absolutely love the idea of being able to know which challengers you've unlocked/if there's any you haven't yet. When I first got into battling however long ago, I had to go to google to figure out stuff like Mama Mush or that dice playing aenoid guy (whatever his name is).
Also, if it was at all possible, it'd be fantastic to know which CS challenger came from what item-- this would probably be best in the actual item description but I'd also be okay with it just being on the challenger page as well (like CHALLENGER NAME unlocked from that one item name)? For the challenger regardless of it being locked or unlocked. 900% of the time I try to buy the challenger when it's released, but whenever we get a new one and there's that "yo this other one is going to retire soon!" I'm like "... so who was that again?" and I have to go to subetalodge and find out, then go to the battle back and F3 to see if I remembered to buy it or not. If it was just in the item name or on the challenger page I could just see it right there and move on with my life, and that'd be pretty awesome.
Also speaking of "this thing is about to go away" verses my memory, it'd be really neat if a few weeks before the throwback challengers are going to change, one of those neato "check out/upcoming" things in the news could be made for that. I know it's approximate but it being there a few days shorter/longer would be better then the "dang I forgot again, whoops".
Definitely support something like this!
Even though I'm pretty sure I know which challengers I'm missing, it would be nice to have an official way of knowing for sure. Especially for newer battlers who are just getting into things and may be too shy to ask on the forums or not know where to begin looking for that sort of information.
This would be nice. What I would also love to see is when you go to fight a challenger it shows wins, loses and draws for each pet. If it's too much for the server to do it every time you go to the page, have it cached for every hour or once a day, heck even once a week would be a huge help. You finally be able to see what challengers and wins you still need easily.
I find myself at sixes and sevens about this one.
The thing about the Secret challengers is that they're, well...secret. They're supposed to have a mystery to them and to "get you by your curiosity" and cause you to explore and try things much in the same way the the Blue Building, Site Themes, or Genetech Lab work. I think maybe a slot where instead of it greyed out but you can still see what the challenger is should instead bey something generically international symbol and says "you still haven't found all the Secret challengers yet , neener neener neener". You can still find out what the Genetech combo is or how to get a secret challenger from a third party site if you don't find this fun or don't wanna figure it out, but it shouldn't be generally available.
Maybe the Event and Throwback tabs can be color coded where they start out green but change to orange and red as your time runs out?
If we're gonna have extra info about each Challenger that's account specific maybe we can to a style cache where you have to request it, like how Rank currently works. I like battling and have most of challengers and thirty pets that all can fight and I don't want it to crash on me or me to cause the site to lag/crash.
The other thing about including all the greyed out ones is the same as for Achievements. If you only have a few Achievements having all of the ones show is a daunting mess, or if you have most of them being able to sort out the ones you got is a huge mess. If all the Challengers get added, we should be able to filter out those we got from those we need to those which just aren't available right now.
I have revamps planned for this page (and the rest of battle) but it's very much in the works so I'd like to hear your opinions. Here are my thoughts and ideas on this:
Challenger lists
Organization
Challengers you haven't unlocked yet
Win History

Yay, changes are afoot! Here's my thoughts on a few things.
Organization
Challengers you haven't unlocked yet
Win History
A few other things that popped to mind (and have basically nothing to do with the actual topic but relate to battling in general):
[edit] I re-read this after a good night's sleep and realised the part about CS challengers came out rude. I definitely don't want to be snarky, I'm just genuinely stumped about the logic of keeping things vague. :)
(pinging as well because this has some feedback) What I envisioned with the way described it for the picking the pet first thing, is you just have to reverse your way of thinking about it. You choose which pet you want to battle with, and then the next page will show you all of the challengers you've unlocked and that specific pet's wins/losses against them so you can see if there are any that you still need to fight with that pet. At least that's what I got from it.
It seems like something that would involve more clicking and back and forth, and I'm not sure it would necessarily improve anything. What I've noticed is that a lot of battlers who have multiple battle pets seem to like to fight the same challenger with as many pets as they can first before moving on to another challenger, which makes sense because even if your strategy is different for different pets the challenger's stats would remain the same for you to consider in your strategy.
If you wanted to fight the same challenger with all of your pets at once, then having to choose the pet first would result in a lot of clicking and double checking before moving on to the next challenger. I think that's why people want a way to be able to see on one page the challenger and then whether or not all of their pets have defeated it. Which is why it may be better to do something like the pet ranks and hide it until clicked on (if possible).
At least this is what I got from it, maybe I'm picturing it differently than intended.
[edit]Unrelated, but I will second what said about coding items for unlocking challengers to show if you've already unlocked that challenger when you view it in your inventory at least. Like the "Already in your wardrobe" thing was just recently done, this would help from people accidentally unlocking a challenger twice and losing their item.
This, this is what I want so much. I have had times where I thought I unlocked the challenger already just to go look and have to rush over to the cash shop to get it. I just want to know the CS item challengers. The rest I can work on or ask people about.
Idk, I kinda think the "secret" about secret challengers should be in regard to how to unlock them, not that they exist.
[edit] I mean they were announced in the news when they were released so the active people knew they existed. People had to figure out how to unlock them though. Someone just getting into battling now wouldn't necessarily know about the opponent and would need to resort to a guide or asking on the forums about what opponents are "secret"
I made a little application since because getting battle information is so annoying currently.
https://jsfiddle.net/Sexyyy/jgonyaby/120/show/ You paste the source code of the two linked pages into the textboxes and hit process. It'll display what challengers you still need to battle and some pretty graphs about your wins on your different pets.
Having something on site to sort and display the information would be lovely.
Just putting my thoughts out there and I'm not trying to be disrespectful.
I like the ideas for organizing this stuff. I am lazy. That's a "me problem" and not a "we problem," but I can't be the only one. ha! Plus, when it's easier to figure what I needed to spend money on to unlock challengers, I am more likely to spend money on unlocking challengers, whether that's sP or CSC. ;) In the past, I've spent a few hours going though subetalodge's notes search, checked out the battle forum, check old news, check what my pet has already beat 10x, etc, but I don't know if I figured out all of the items that I still need to purchase to unlock the guys that give me... what? A few minutes of entertainment and/or a goal to work towards? I'd still like to get them, collect them, fight them, but I really dislike having to spend so much time trying to figure out what's needed. I also try to remember to add on the new thing each month as well, but cannot buy them immediately. Some site supported help would be wonderful. Really, truly, sincerely, it'd be nice if it were easier to figure out how to give the site money to get the things that unlock the guys that I'm mildly interested in, [sub]before I remember the choices made that caused me to dislike battling. hahaha[/sub].
& Personally, I don't mind being "spoiled," it's usually obvious that's what's going to happen when I check a page/tab/tag. If a page/tab/tag was marked Hidden, I'm going to know those guys are Hidden. I can make the choice if I want to know about them or not. Even then, I don't need to see them, I just need to know that I'm missing them. Just a big ? or X or lock or fade over the space. Please.
Hell, even just the note of "You have X out of Y TYPE unlocked (or located or what-have-you)" would help.
Specifying a time period would be even better, like over a year or how a lot of the monthly guys have been themed. Like Fables, or whatever we're doing now. Then, I'd know that I was missing something from a specific span of time, as opposed to all of the time that battling has existed (I'd still be ok with that, even.) and that would be less to check. And, once it was known that my account has unlocked X, it wouldn't need to recheck for that info every time, would it? We can't remove challengers. It should only need to recheck for ones that were not unlocked before?
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!
My word this is brilliant! Thank you a million times for this.
ETA Would you mind if I link to your post here from the BC thread? Many battlers with multiple battle pets might find this tool super helpful to them.
Liking your ideas and I'm excited to see how they take shape in the days to come... :)
I don't know if this would be feasible or not but to have a link to go to challenge an opponent from the page where you see how many times your specific pet has won/lost/tied on the challenger. Except for challengers which one can't battle with because of them being seasonal, throwback or whatever the case may be. I don't know if this is just too long code-y or not and I am rambling now so I apologize for that.
Can't wait to see how your improvements will change the Battle Coliseum. How about if you use the SubetaPedia to house the information that we need to unlock the various CS, MC, throwback, events etc. challengers. And their loot would be nice touch to show them what they can win/earn. Thanks.

I'm going to use this thread to shamelessly promote my Permanent Opponents Loot Guide (Be warned, very image heavy page!). I have listed all the permanent unlockable challengers, the loot that they drop, how they're unlocked (if not available by default) and some have links to strategy guides on how to beat them. I realize it's a pain in the butt to check my list against your own challenger list to see what you're missing; so maybe 's solution is a bit easier to use.
I agree that secret challengers should remain somewhat secret; but the cash shop challengers are not very secret and they're very easy to miss. So it would be nice to have some official list somewhere, where you can easily check which ones you're missing.
