She really is. Darn her and her Goddess looks. I'm so sad that natural curls and textured hair just aren't popular in the CW world. People want them, but they never really buy them. Admittedly, they aren't the easiest to draw on these HA's because you want to get in the texture but it's easy to lose it. Odduck and Elestrial really, really rocked theirs though (I mean, is there any surprise ?).

Honestly! I've found so many amazing natural hair refs but no one seems to take them on :c I think it's because we're all so used to the kinds of wigs we have now that we're not entirely sure how to tackle natural hair like that on HAs lol. I know as much as I love them, I'm hesitant to pick one up myself because they're so expensive and I almost exclusively use long hair. CSC is a limited resource for me, so I try to only get things I know I can use. But I mean, look at these! There's so much we can do.

People are saying the cw community is getting stagnant and running out of ideas, but so few have given wigs like this a shot. Though you're right, I'm sure it's SUPER hard, but the few we do have are really nice. It's just that it really is so few ): lol can you tell I have strong feelings about this

OH NO I HAVE STRONG FEELINGS AS WELL. When I was looking for references for the dirk, I was lost for hours just looking at the amazing hair Sabina Karlsson and Coralie Jouhier ultimately became my main focus because the hair color matched to my OC, but man I saved so many references. I have another one in the works that I just put off because... Interest just isn't there. And it makes me SO sad. I know there are many things we could branch out on but the buying market for them is hardly there. Male stuff desired ? No sell. Natural curls ? No sell. And man, the things we could do with natural hair.

I thought that lily hair got claimed? I'm sure I saw someone have the ref in their WIP thread (or something), but I can't for the life of me remember who. I thought it was pretty too, but the same as everyone else, knew it probably wouldn't sell.

The thing that's hard about hair like that, is the shading. Since subeta requires cel-shading, tho lately have allowed some gradient in there to soften the looks of things- cel-shading makes more difficult to look natural and not like a solid blobby mess. That's why what Silvan said about that Fizz hair I did for her took me a few times to shade, cuz it was just looking awful, kind of flat and then not detailed enough to justify the poof. And- the other things people are like 'looks like a clown wig'. If you're able to pull off a poofy wig- the chances of doing off-the-norm colors (blue, pink, ect) you def risk it looking like a costume clown wig.

I've done a few, yes- and all of them sold not so well... well, except the PinkiePie tribute, cuz, MLP... but still not as well as it would have if I'd done something less poofy with it. Even Mother Gothel didn't do well, and her hair is awesome. xD; I want to redo the 'Brave' tribute wig and I wish I could do more recolors of the piled wigs, but none of them have been hugely popular...

But yeah, this is all the tight curls/poofy hair I've made and I totally agree, there needs to be more. People do complain about the stagnant market but are unwilling to do anything to change it or do something new. Rather sux.

Randomly popping in because I was wondering if you would consider making a tutorial on how you even did this: Because my mind is blown. I would /def/ make wigs with this texture but I don't comprehend /how/ you did this amazingness. xD

I mean, if there was a way to reach those directly interested in them in one go, would they sell better? What was the one you have in the works? I'm curious, but you don't have to tell me if you don't want to! Ugh it feels like there's a sure fire way to sell these things that's staring me in the face but I can't think of it. I've never understood the difference between cell and gradient shading XD I just shaded and prayed that sub accepted it. Haha

I totally understand the "clown wig" feeling. There are days when I rock my own hair out and I'm just like nope I look silly XD It is hard to pull off.

I love the crazy tight twists and the curls of pomegranate curls are so beautiful and defined that all over would be amazing. Would you ever consider doing braid styles? Like the ones in my first post ^^

There is a male group that can be pinged (literally, hashtag male ahaha). Which does help ! But a good number of users don't invest in male customs, wanting more official and cheaper ways of making male HA's (I mean, that's understandable ! Especially for those of us that don't always have extra cash). A natural/textured hair group would be amazing though. This is the one... Which I am going to revamp once I get around to it.

I'll comment you the colors I've got so far ! A lot of the same styles are done. Long, wavy hair. Which is fine because not only do a lot of people use them, and have hair similar to them, they're simply stunning. But it's hard to not notice that "stagnant" is the CW's way of saying "not desiring a change." We want new things but we don't invest in new things. I don't personally buy too many customs because I have a limited way of getting CSC, which is true for a lot of people, so we tend to go more for what we know we'll use... And also what we think we can get cheaper later. The pawn shop did that to us. I again personally don't buy much from the pawn shop or think "I'll just get it cheaper"... But a good number of users do. Which puts a lot of really awesome, fresher ideas on the back burner.

Oh how cute! I was looking at refs similar to that as well, big, poofy, round pompom wigs are adorable. Someday I think I'm gunna try to commission one with bangs. That's my other problem, I always need bangs lol. Or oh man we need box braids that's what we need. Damn I'mma get some box braid refs and look into this...

Too much cute in them, ahaha Personally I'm avoiding doing bangs on things like these because of the lines of bangs I want to do, to be layerable with pulled back wigs. Box braids would be amazing, but at the same time would they be too similar to dreads on these tiny avatars ? Most certainly something to experiment with !

Hahah that's a good point. People don't do change very well.. Although I have to give it to the people of sub they are pretty good with change sometimes. Just not with HA's it seems ;-; who invented the pawn shop. I think the pawn shop needs to be a clear out place like the items should only stay in there for a week or two and then get deleted forever. It would definitely speed up the market.

Aw, thx. I love the piled curls myself, but they didn't sell amazingly well, I'm amazed I even got 3 colors outta the style. I might redo them tho, put more poof. And yeah, I have. The only braid thing I have so far like it is not curly, but more curls are def needed I think. Most of the hairs I've done have had only a wave to them, nothing tighter, mostly cuz ppl are always like "This prolly won't sell well" but I guess we need to prove them all wrong eh?

I think honestly one thing that needs to change with cw prices, is the wigs needs their own categories. Short vs long. Short should be cheaper, so things like male wigs won't be as big of an investment cuz it's less hair. Honestly seems silly to me still to pay the same price for something that takes up less room on the HA.

Yeah, that's why I started using a deadline, cus people would just forget about it or never get around to it, etc. That ends up being the case all the time. I dread it when deadlines start coming up because I know 3/4 of the claims are getting relinquished and it's such a shame
