Actually, when I take the MLP quiz, I come out to be Twilight Sparkle, whatever that means. I don't know too much about the ponies, except they're all beautiful, my granddaughter loves them, and she spends Nana and Opa's money pointing them out. (Yes, we spoil her--no, we're not sorry!)
Thank you so much for all your expressions of caring and concern. Hopefully Shy will get better too, and we'll soon have wonderful and exciting news from Kaiidth!
Now, as to those appeals and protests, the judges have dealt with them, and I have some responses below:
<p>Appeal Denied: Five is standard and fair. Also, we don&;t give you a deduction. You simply match a different score on the rubric.</p>
<p>How are we supposed to know exactly what we should look like?</p>
<p>Complaint: Noted, and given extra material. This was a complaint, not an appeal, but we have put up extra guidelines for you, although we suggest the fashions of your new Asian-themed land is a good starting place!</p>
<p>You can&;t take off 50 points for SHOES!!</p>
<p>Appeal/Complaint: Denied Yes, we could, but we didn&;t take off 50 points. The mismatch in shoes simply put a number of HAs matching the score of 4 on the rubric. It was the same for make-up, but no one protested that. An odd accessory does not enhance any look.</p>
<p>Tints and shades of colors are hard to match with monitors, resolutions, etc!</p>
<p>Appeal: Granted If a variance in color put you at a different score, as we can think of with oranges in one case, you score will be adjusted to a new point on the rubric scale, and we will keep that in mind for future HAs. (This does not apply to such items as the appearance of a single red in a monochrome look, which is a clear mismatch!)</p>
<p>If we had a better HA in the ones not submitted for scoring, can you just judge that instead?</p>
<p>Appeal: Reluctantly denied. We almost went with that one, since there were several cases that matched, BUT this is a team event, and your members voted on the ones that were scored.</p>
<p>Even if an HA was one of those that had some precedence in the country, even if rare, couldn&;t a character get credit for it if that character was also "off-beat?" </p>
<p>Appeal: Granted That&;s a valid point and scores will be adjusted IF that HA was actually in style and period. (It doesn&;t apply to fashion models way out of time and place.)</p>
<p>Just who do you guys think you are?</p>
<p>Complaint: Noted We think we are your judges, which you obviously do not. We wish you good luck with that, as this is only Chapter 5. ;D
I'll fix the scores of those of you who fell within granted appeals. You do not have to have been the team that appealed to have your score adjusted.
Hopefully, this settled down most of the burning. I have sent smails out on all the personal complaints. If you send me a complaining smail and did not receive an answer, please let me know. I've had a couple of smails not reach me, evidently. I want to respond to all of you!
What about the teams who aren't complaining; do we get extra points for that?

I too love the sarcasm. And I'm glad off-beat chars are being accepted, that pleases me greatly (even if Jean isn't very off-beat). I've read a lot of great eccentric chars in WS, and they're too much fun to have their peculiar sense of style drag down their players. <3

Every year, a number of you offer to help me if I need any help. I'm also going to ping here, as she also offered.
Well, I do have something if someone is willing to do it. I know some of you are running spreadsheets on everyone's score, and I also know that I clearly list each portion, BUT I seem to have a number of teams who do not add their portions together, and who really need a detailed breakdown of each chapter posted for them.
Right now, I have a number of irons in the fire, WS4 is plot intensive and will get more so, which means it requires a good deal of time to write, and we seem to have a lot of appeals and complaints every time scores are posted. I can deal with all of this, but that one extra piece of tabulation work is really a drain.
So, if someone would be so kind as to do overall scores broken down by segments and put it as a single post which I could copy and paste into the main post, I would be most grateful. If there is more than one of you, then maybe each of you could take a chapter or two. I'd like to start this with Chapter 5.
This is STRICTLY voluntary! (I can do a wishlist grab, though, as appreciation!)
Count me in, ping me to the scores page and I'll see what I can do. tough you might have to explain a little better exactly what it is you want done.

Oh, thanks hun! You just have to start with Chapter 5, which closes tomorrow. There's an RP worth between 100 to 500, and riddles worth 100 points each. There are also five of those. As soon as the judges finish, I'll post each team's scores here, and you just have to create a post that says: Team X; RP=400, Riddles=300, and then add that to their currently posted score, so 2500+700=3200--you need to do that for each team.
Works for me just make a note somewhere to ping me at the end of each chapter and I'll do it for you. I might not be around all the time to check back every day, so a reminder would be greatly appreciated. If you can I mean.
I have my team's, but not anyone else's. Would you like that? No need for grabbing anything, I've been keeping track for myself and my team.

Thank you hon, if you happen to have a list of the scores and judge rulings, as well as chapter possible score totles send those my way. I'll list those for each chapter, along with bonuses that were earned. I'll set it up like how it was last year scoring wise. ^_^ It seemed to keep people from biting at the bit to much.
Let me know if you need help with this. I see theres been a few posts so I dont want to assume.

I had one question about scoring. Im not even sure which team it was anymore. It was a factor of hair use I believe it was because the character didnt have black hair. Why would that affect their score? We are supposed to keep our characters base the same (eyes color hair color hair length any tattoos or markings) as far as I recall. I thought they had used the same hair color in their previus HA or something similar. If I am mistaken please ignore this xD I just remembered reading it a few days ago like huh... hair should be one of those things that as long as its consistant with the character like eye color isnt a judgable thing. Makeup yes but eye color and hair color itself.
