aw... shinwa wants me to go do carl's quest, but i don't have the map assembled, and even though i've been playing for over a year i've only found one map piece (and i'm far too broke for the other pieces)... i think my reasoning for not having the map assembled yet was that i went through the trouble of getting blue building access, but it ended up being a snoozefest, so i figured i didn't really need to have this done anytime soon. bummer :(

Wait can she give Sarah as an option? I hope not. Carl, okay, I don't really agree with that but at least the map is something that can be completed if you shell out the money. But Sarah... what are we going to do with all our millions if Shinwa asks for a Sarah quest?

Also I think I encountered an error... my first quest today she asked me for Carl. I did Carl's quest and.... I'm pretty sure I got the shard, but when I went back to Shinwa she said "you don't have the piece I asked for! have you seen Pete yet?" or whatever. I went to Pete and was able to proceed as normal.

I thought this would be nice but I don't have the map to do stuff with Carl. Now I can't do Shinwa's quest. :(

I'm actually quite upset that Carl's quests are now needed for Shinwa. It's not that I don't have the means to go out and buy them, nor do I really care that the pieces are going to be more readily available, it's the fact that I don't think I should have to waste my hard earned sP to buy a map so I can do my quests. I'm extremely disappointed to see a change like this implemented without even confronting the userbase about it first.

I don't think Carl should be part of shinwa's quest.
Just seems wrong to leave out much of the population that hasn't found the pieces or are able to buy them yet. Doesn't effect me personally, but it seems like access to the islands should not be a part of this quest.
