, This is such a awesome idea. I have several Subeta pets named after my real life ones. 💖 Sadly I lost my guy Rueben after almost two decades together. He was this goofy, weirdo tuxedo cat whom acted like an over friendly dog with the people he liked.

My mom still looks for him when she visits before she remembers that he's gone. Sometimes she calls my other tux mutt kitty Nefas his name, then looks so guilty over it. He absolutely adored her and used to run to her with his toys as soon as she'd walk in the door.
He'd meow as loud as he could too when she called and have phone "conversations" with her. 😹 I will ALWAYS miss him, he was a very unique and special cat. 😿

Hoped was created after my puppy, Snickers. She was a dog, sort of a mutt who I adopted and, unfortunately, she contracted distemper and had to be euthanized at 6 months old due to seizures. Still one of the absolute worst experiences of my life and I miss her so much. , thanks for doing this! ❤️

I'm so sorry for your loss, you have a really lovely pet tribute to her. <3 It's always awful when pets cross to soon for our comfort. I had a lab/mutt puppy (Rex) that died like that when I was 9. He was only 8 months old. It was one of the most horrific things I'd ever seen to this day, and that's even after having a cat (Skittles) that was prone to seizures. Distemper is a horrific thing. 😿

Sorry to hear about Snickers. I had something similar happen to my first puppy Buddy we only had him a few months because of some unknown disease by the mother. I don't think any of the puppies in her litter made it. That's a lovely tribute to her though and I'm adding her to the list as I type here.

Thank you both, it means a lot! ❤️ Yeah, distemper is pretty evil. I currently have a golden retriever who, at 6 months old, contracted parvo. THAT was a complete and utter nightmare; luckily he beat it, but I feel for ANYONE whose pet has to go through that, or any kind of sickness/illness for that matter... It's honestly the worst.

Today, I had to take in my cat of 17 (nearly 18) years into the vet for the last time. I just finished burying her. I feel profound loss, but also relief. Okay, but heartbroken.

The fact that this name was open and I could make her on the day she went to the moon (where all good cats go) is such a powerful comfort to me.
