gee 26C is something i haven't heard since july/august. i think people here are sort of accustomed to driving in the snow? however, we generally have very crazy and reckless drivers so it's hard to gauge ahaha

yikes, unstable weather seems to be the fad everywhere... our mornings are super cold and the sun blares like a summer sun during the afternoon (read: rip snow) and then it gets to freezer weather during the night again ;A ;"

awww, that kind of sucks, social norms sigh... :c my parents are from hong kong and my sis and i were born here in canada! ^w^ my parents don't really keep in touch with our extended family much (which is super rare in chinese families) so we don't do those big round table family festivities

Because I've lived in the south my whole life, I can't imagine dealing with the cold and snow xD

ah I see. most of my extended family lives in Taiwan, so that makes celebrations hard xD I mean there are a few relatives who live in the states, but they hate my dad because he's more successful 😓 so we don't really interact with them But then again, I don't know more than half of my relatives because my grandpa had 8 siblings but he was adopted by another family (financial reasons)

it's funny, because one year we went to visit one of our grandmothers who lives in vegas and she was so worried and franttic about us catching a cold because we were in our tshirts at 16C and she was bundled up in vests and scarves :3

you're taiwanese?! :o yesss, a lot of our extended family's also scattered everywhere and a lot of them are relatively well off (almost rich i would say) and they travel a lot. it's hard to figure out who's where and "what?? they have a daughter now?!" i think the financial situation since back then kind of made everything extra complicated and distanced my parents and them.

i don't know/recognize most of my relatives either haha ;- ; it all gets so fuzzy when you find out your grandpa has had several wives and then siblings and just ahhhhsalkjda it doesn't help that they all have these specific titles for them unlike in english where everyone is mostly generalized by aunt/uncle/grandpa/grandma

Ya, the really amazing non-CW items are expensive... I suppose if I spent all my sP on items instead of csc maybe I could get those items that make sP HAs amazing.... BUT I just can't do that... too many pretties coming out all the time. >.<

@.Pengy we're from canada! c: owow, i didn't know CNY was such a biggie over there too! the city we live in is mostly populated by asians haha so yeah, from december until february is a pretty hectic ride. our family however, just sticks to the "dine out to celebrate." we don't even set up any sort of christmas decorations much less a tree ahah. despite not loving social events, ironically i wish we did more of the holiday festivities :3
