It sounds like a very peculiar experience! I dont think I would give up work either, I'm a bit selfish when it comes to time so the thoughts of a child dominating all my free time makes me apprehensive! It would be great if you could skip the poopy year and just have a walking, talking toddler! How do you know if you're ready for children?

When you feel the urge of having children. Or planning when to get pregnant. For me it was after working enough to be entitled money from the government to handle the motherhood without worrying about money.

And if you don't ever feel like you're ready, don't let anyone pressure you into having children. Not all women are cut out to be mothers, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Im just scared that I'd regret it when I was older you know? Its such a horrifically large decision!

Today I was driving behind a lorry that had little gravel stones on it and some fell off and chipped my windscreen in 2 places! I'm so angry that I'm deadly calm -.-!

i hope you got the brand of the truck, so you can claim repairs from them! that's ridiculous! one of the houses around the corner from us got loads of work done on it about 5 years ago, but the workmen were really messy, left nails and everything lying on the road. so many people in the street got punctures because of them, including 2 my dad got! but i don't think anyone bothered to tell the home owners about it, or complain to the workers, which i think was really stupid

@ Pengy - There's definitely no need for you to rush having babies. Rushing just because society expects you to is a terrible idea and would lead to both you and the baby suffering. And, there's nothing wrong with never having kids.

I've never wanted kids because of their first few years of life. I can't stand babies at all (the diaper changing and constant vomit revolt me and their voice hurts my ears whenever they open their mouths) and I find toddlers obnoxious (again with the ear pain) and too needy. Also, my fiance and I have so many health/mental problems in us and our families that we should never breed.

However, we have both agreed to maybe adopt an older child since they're competent and not super needy. But, we're a long ways away from that since we don't have our own lives together.

Perhaps adopting a toddler is an option if you're ever ready?

I took in some kids at ages when they were 7, 8 & 11. Not easier than raising my own kids, taking in someone else's! The girl we took when she was 8 didn't stay with us, but both boys did. The older one still comes home every 2 weeks. The younger one is still with us.

I was at the zoo last week with my great-nephew and niece and we took 3 of my daughter's kids. Exhausting and fun. They don't like when I put pics of their kids online. :P The lemurs in a fenced area people walk through, but they finally figured people are NOT giving them food (staff watch the humans there; very strict) so they stay sleeping when people come in. A bit of a "show" put on, when a stray pigeon flew too close to the siamong monkeys. Gulp.

sometimes it's a good camera, sometimes it's not XD it's terrible in low lighting or real close ups, it tends not to be able to work out what to focus on. i want a super big fancy camera that does crazy awesome closeups, but i have no money XD i'm lucky to have the camera i do! my dad is an amazon Vine member, so sometimes get sent stuff to test free of charge, and one of them was this camera. it's a nikon coolpix p500. which is a pretty darn good camera to get for free! he didn't want it, because it was too bulky, so he gave it to me because he knew how much i wanted a decent camera :D i've had it for maybe 8 years now, i love it! even if it is annoying sometimes XD but i was really happy with the pics i took! i was just sad i didn't get any good ones of the little mice sitting in the tractors XD it was the cutest thing, but they kept their enclosure quite dark, so it was very hard to see.

my mum is about 67 i think...i really should know my own mothers age XD i know my dad is 70 because he just had his 70th birthday. this place was awesome because you could feed so many of the animals, it was pretty obvious which ones you could feed and couldn't. if the animal could reach through the fence to you, you could feed them. with the camels, you could feed them if they let you, but there was a sign warning you they could bite, but the one we fed was so friendly! i mean, it was MASSIVE and yet he was so so gentle taking the pellets from your hand. the best thing was, this place was great for both my nephews with loads of animals but also loads of fun outdoor activities. my older nephew is scared of animals, and generally doesn't like them much (his little brother loves them XD), i was trying to show him he didnt need to be scared of them. so i was showing him by feeding all the animals myself and letting him see how gentle they were, then we even got him feeding them if we helped hold his hand steady, and soon after, he was going 'can i feed that one?!' XD it was great! i'm hoping this means he'll be less scared around my dog, Riley is the biggest softy in the world, wouldn't hurt a fly, but my older nephew is really nervous of him. despite having seen his little brother climb all over him, he's used him as an aide when he was learning to stand up and walk, he'd grab big handfuls of riley's fur and riley would stay still and just look at me like 'please make him stop!' but he never ever got aggressive. he loves playing with the wee one too. like finn chases him across the room to catch him, and just as he gets close, the dog bounds away across the room again. they do this for ages XD it's hilarious to watch. sorry i droned on a bit much there XD
