Hey everyone! I know I haven't been on in days but I figures while I had the time I'd give you all a quick update.

My dad is doing much better. He had a bump in the road and ended up back in the hospital for only a few days. He's now on oxygen. He only has to use it when he is outside mowing the yard or working on his house that he's building. He also has a walker, one of those nice ones that glides smoothly and has a seat on it so in case he gets tired he can take a break. He had a touch of pneumonia in his lungs but they were able to get rid of it. I know saying all this it doesn't sound like he's better but trust me, he's much better.

As for me, I got myself a job. I'm a security officer. I don't carry a gun, taser, or a night stick (baton). No weapons. All I do is sit on my butt most of the time and occasionally do rounds. I work three different locations. One is a plant that makes parts for several types of cars. My job there is to let employees into locked areas and then do my rounds, which I get lost in that plant. Need to make a map. Ha ha! The second place is a construction site and all I do is sign people in an out of the site. Weekends are the best there. I sit on my butt and read a book. I work today; evening shift. One it's the weekend, two it's a holiday weekend, and three, it's raining. I'm not going to have anyone there. Yay for me! The last location is a paint plant. They make paint and things of the like. It's hectic but I'll get it. I make decent money there so now I have money to move my trailer to its new home.

I work long and crazy hours so I have hardly any time to do anything fun like being here on Subeta or talk to friends on Skype. I think half my friends think I've abandoned them or that I don't like them or something.

And a last note, our kitty Flynn, got hurt. He's alright but the wound looks bad. We think that when he got out, the neighbors dog (who is suppose to be on a effing leash) hurt him and that's why he was up in the tree. Took us an hour to get him out of it. He was really high up too. Lexie, my wife, had to go and get him. Well on top of that, Lexie was trying to move Flynn from her computer chair to sit down in it and Flynn freaked out. He fell out of Lexie's arms and landed side first into a leg of one of the kitchen chairs. Flynn instantly vomited and ran and hid. I called the vet, they wanted me to take him in but I had no money to pay for his visit and they wouldn't take payments. But, Flynn is acting normally. He's eating, drinking, playing. There is no blood in his urine or stool. And I don't think there is internal bleeding. We can't pick him up due to the wound. It's on the left side, hind quarter. I'd show a picture but it's disgusting looking and I don't want anyone to loose their appetite.

He's got a walker, and yet he's still building a house and working in the yard? Sounds like your dad is a real fighter, so I'm sure he'll get better and better!

And hey, congrats on the job?? Sounds like a pretty decent job. :) But yeah, sometimes life gets busy... I'm sure things will calm down eventually, though, and you'll have some time for fun... Sometimes you just have to hunt around for times when you can hang with people... I have the same problem, though... I don't work that many hours, but when your hours are different than everyone else's, it gets tricky. I'm sure everyone understands, though!

Poor Flynn, though... I hope he's okay... Have you cleaned up the wound really well, and used neosporin, or something to help with infection? Or you can try making a salt bath and soaking him in it (though I know that's not always easy with cats...). If he's really hurting, the saltwater might even feel good enough for him to stay put. Our cat got an infected toenail the other day, and I was researching how to deal with it, and one person on a chatroom had to give a saltwater soak to their cat's foot, and he found it so pain-relieving that he'd just sit on the side of the sink with his foot in the water, without even fighting or needing anyone to hold him in... Most cats aren't that easy, but it's a good way to help the wound heal, and prevent infection...

Howdy! The borrow has been so quiet lately :O

I know... It's so sad. :( I think everybody's just really busy, with school coming to an end, and with summer on the way, people are spending more time outside... We've been having internet problems here, because it's so hot, and we have the top apartment in our building. So we get everyone's heat... Blech. and then we're roasting and crabby, and then the router overheats, and then we're even crabbier... :O I think this is going to be a scorcher of a summer. :/

Ug that does sound bad DX it has been fairly cool here still, which is surprising, but I can feel summer coming bleh! Gotta stay in a pool! Sorry about your router that must get super hot!

Yeah, it's terrible... and in a country where no one has air conditioner, and my husband barely sleeps if I turn on a fan at night. :(

Oh man! I have to sleep with a fan and the A/c DX

yeah, me too!! I've finally convinced him to let me turn it on, though. So I sleep with a sheet and the fan on my side, and he buries himself in a heavy duvet to try to hide from the fan. :O It's terrible...
