I love the idea of 1 ability per person. And just because we change the rules to this, doesn't mean everyone will suddenly be jumping at being special. I was interested in writing up a little story for my character personally, and was interested in some sort of ability, but after reading about the limitations and try out and this and that I honestly became discouraged. It'd be better in my opinion, if everyone could just choose for themselves (within reason), rather than having to apply for something. :/

Just to address:

Yes there were supposed to be more tryouts for special abilities, but honestly the interest was so low that I didn't bother holding tryouts, thats why we're doing this feedback thread. If the interest in them is so low, then why bother having tryouts, you know?

Thanks guys for all of your feedback! We have decided on a new policy, which was posted in the Announcement Board. :) If you have any concerns/feedback, please feel free to post it here.

Also just a heads up, with Wayward Squirrel starting after term ends, we have decided to end the term on schedule.

I am going to ping maybe she knows more than I do, but from what I know it is divided in different tasks with puzzles and challenges. It is done in groups. There is also like a mini WS I did it once and it was a lot of fun. I think that one is done during WS break time.

Gaia is correct there are 2. Wayward Squirrels is the big one, the mini one is called Nusty and Nusty is, at least the year I played it was a murder mystery. Much smaller scale but still has puzzles. Now WS is the big one. You join a team and solve puzzles and riddles and role play. Its a lot of fun <3 GreenRowen is the founder/owner of the event.

Basically what happens is you get a post explaining the scenario. You and your team role play the scenario with whatever guidelines are provided. No characters can die, lol but they can get mangled ;) there's one team that loves shoving one of their players down cliffs and such. You can pretty much write however you want, so long as you keep the scenario and the guidelines in mind. Also note there's no "god modeing" so if your character is a warrior they can't be like good at everything under the sun (has to be believable and what have you.) A mage shouldn't be always magicking the team free of danger. Similar to how we play our kids at Hogwarts.

I hope I explained this alright lol
