Also, an explanation. This is up updating to version 3 of Bootstrap which came out.. three years ago? two years ago? Some high amount of time ago, and we weren't able to upgrade because of these kinds of problems.

We're going to be updating the site this year to a new layout that uses entirely bootstrap 3, and so we're preparing for it now instead of just waiting and hoping we can get everything transferred over at once.
