This is possibly the best news for us lately and will hopefully make testing much easier. It took me 3 sets (so for anyone without a gold, you'd probably still have to mix and match one set of the weapons by hand) to make the full set that I have for testing for my page:

- Yes, I was thinking that as well. I can now have BQs set and a trolling set! (aka a blank set that I just flll with testing items)

Actually, the group is on hiatus because a large percent of the active members were/are taking finals and ending the school year (and some more were busy now for other reasons). We are hoping to get active again in another week or so when people should be done with all that.

Many of us have more than one page (and some have three or more pages) so weapon sets won't work for everyone even with a gold account. Using the notepad (as Naoto described in her tutorial) I just pick weapons from the already open page and start the battle in a new tab - after my forfeit, that page still shows the weapon choice so it's pretty easy to unclick them and then click the next bunch. I usually test everything in my (admittedly small) armory when I test, not just the weapons officially assigned to me. In some ways, it's easier. Several people were doing that, which might be helpful if the winning weapons ever come from higher tiers.

I'm sort of wondering if anyone has beaten the Troll since we stopped being active. Has anybody heard about other wins?

I haven't heard of anyone finding the weapon, but I can tell you that a small group of my friends got together and tested all T1, 2, and 3 weapons with no luck. This was done within the space of an hour and leads me to think that T4 may now be involved.

- thanks, good to know. A few of us have definitely been wondering about that. That must have been quite a bit of work for your group, so we really appreciate you sharing the information. Was anything at all missing (unbuyable, shield only - we know one of the first winners was a shield, potions)? Testing T4 could get both difficult and expensive but some people are thinking of adding that if we don't see winners when we start covering the T1-3 weapons more often again.

Just a silly thought - maybe the Troll is busy with monster finals and there is no winning weapon right now. :-)

Ah okay, that makes perfect sense then about why it's been so quiet haha. Also I didn't factor in folks who were doing more than one page =/

Sometimes I wonder if maybe the Troll doesn't also change weapons randomly after X amount of time too - which could make it more difficult.

sheepish waves to all I haven't heard of any other winners but I'm not exactly on much/paying attention, however I have noticed various weapons being bought up in batches from my shop by separate people. Could just be questing coincidences, but it seems to happen fairly often.

We did have all the weapons and actually it wasn't that much work. It was easier in a small group, as we were able to co-ordinate all the weapons and a time to all be on to test. :) It did take some pre-planning though. It's not something that is going to be on going though and I will still help out in this group when it gets going again.

- changing the winner every so often on the basis of time, or by the battle admins doing a manual change is something that we've thought about. We haven't heard anything about that, so no one really knows for sure. I sort of think it would be manual, because of this right when they changed the Troll from Impossible to Extremely Hard.

- (pleased to see you wave back) - hmmm, it would be intereting to look at which ones those were. Would it be hard for you to make a list of them?

- Thank you, that's good to know. I can definitely see where a small group would be much easier to coordinate :-) . Just a question of having all the weapons (or enough sP to acquire them). And we much appreciate you being willing to continue working with this group.

Any plans for another big weapon test any time soon?

I feel like officially figured out would be more along the lines of "he rotates between these X amount of weapons" rather than "he can be using any random tier weapon good luck muahahahaha" -glares at staff-

It was confirmed by cranberry that it is not done manually. They only reset it manually when we 'officially figured it out'. We never received confirmation that there might be a time component though. All we really have confirmed is that it resets on the special 5th drop.

Probably next week end-ish? We're still waiting on people to finish finals this week. We'll be doing a survey of still active/interested people then we'll do a big weapon test :)

Maybe the [item2=Dillema Chair] was one of those items that some quest wanted a lot of? Or maybe the Troll finally got tired and just wanted to sit down? If we have to start throwing furniture, I'm just going to duck until that battle is over. :-)
