Perhaps in addition to the safe word being commented, the admins can also go through the group members to ensure that everyone there has been assigned a page or been involved in testing?
Yes, winning items have duplicated (e.g. Goldbrand, Piractorian Sword, Pie Mace, and probably another one), so keep testing!

there have been duplicates!!! you should probably test items that have won again because there have been doubles of and !!!
(also hi fam im back from my shower i'm gonna retest my stuff <3)
No one has been accepted into the group without being assigned a page, so as far as I know there aren't any extraneous members who aren't working toward our common goal.
Hmm, I'm looking at the Trolling members - the landing page says there are 91 members but the actual member page only has 64.
Which leads me to believe that there may be 27 "pending" members? And it seems we've determined that "pending" members can see and do everything approved members can.
Perhaps an admin can confirm, because maybe only admins can see "pending" members?
[edit] But I think if someone has applied to the group, it doesn't actually matter if they've been accepted. They would have to be rejected for them to not have access to the private forums at that point, it would seem.
Which definitely seems like a glitch/issue with how forum groups work, but probably one we have to work with.

I wish I was more active with this...but real life has gotten to be a bit of a hassle at the moment, but I've been trying various weapons when I've had the chance. My poor Kumos is sick of using items mean for a Hikei...lol
yes a few items have been the weapon twice you can see them in the so far winning weapon forum group thread :)
ok thanks i will do that. i think i deny all the unaccepted group members since they didn´t even asked to be assigned to help. what do you guys think? i´m heading to bed now. denying requests tomorrow. we need to change the post though that the people need to comment an admin to be invited and that the need to assign a to page at least. are you able to keep track of any changes? good night guys and good luck!
I can check. If so, that is an issue that needs to be addressed asap.
I think that would help the situation and pare down people getting the alert to winning items to people who are actually part of the group effort!
My guess is that might be in that "pending/unapproved" group of users that aren't visible to regular group members. :x

in my opinion you can go ahead and delete pending members. good night!
- legalcat was not a pending member, I checked that first thing.
We really need to keep this thread to winning items only so people know what to use and when to submit. That's why we have the separate threads.
- please don't delete pending members - some of them have been waiting patiently since Thursday and were never asked to take a page. I'll work on commenting them/deleting them.
I'm deleting ones that haven't participated in the public topic. We can assign pages to the ones that have been helping to get rid of the backlog. Goodnight! [edit] Noted. I did already delete three users who never posted on the public topic at all, though.
That user isn't on the pending list or listed at all.
Ahh, I guess they did leave right away after the fifth win then. =/

I'm not sure we have the level of organization to monitor all the members and their efforts without putting too much work on our admins. This group also struggles with multiple forums and lots of information being put on them, which are not always relevant information either, making it hard to catch up when not actively watching all the posts, and it gets bogged down quite a lot.
We either need more admins or have an entire forum dedicated to being updated with the most relevant information. Or perhaps some better suggestions, but I do think this is partly why we have a lot of incidents where people hit the 5th results page or are able to see the group's efforts without contributing.
- some of the users you're deleting have been waiting since before there were instructions to ask for a page, so please stop.
I think the move to "invite-only" will lessen the work going forward, as it makes joining the group and being assigned the page happen in a single step by an admin. :)
Keeping it the way it was and trying to keep track of it all would indeed be a nightmare, I would think!
