Is anyone posting the winning weapon in the other forum that is visible to everyone? It is possible that either someone outside the group just got really lucky or people are waiting to see what we post and have no idea about the rule.

Yeah I don't think the password thing will help though if it's someone already in the group since they will see the group ping and just do as directed =/ My guess then is it is someone who doesn't post but just waits for someone to find an item....

Anyone monitoring the shout box? If it is a leak, it could be posted there...

EDIT: I can try to keep an eye on the Shoutbox; it's been a busy week and I haven't had eyes-on when a new item is announced, but I haven't seen much mention of it anyway.

It's probably just people getting lucky. I mean if I had no idea about this group, or how the troll worked and was just trying weapons, I wouldn't even think about stopping if something worked. I'd just be like, I WON!!??!! battle again and again and then be really confused when it stopped working on the 5th win. Though maybe I give people too much credit. :P

When I used the winning Hikei items, I had to use both for a win. I tried them separately, but it didn't work so I paired them and beat the troll until it reset. Do you know if anyone else has experienced this?

That's what I thought too, and I hustled my but to try to get to that 5th battle and only got 2 wins before it reset already. I think it's just too much of a coincidence that minutes after someone posts what it is already it is reset

When the winning item is a defense item like a shield you have to use it together with an attacking item like a six-shooter or blade.

Is the list of users open to anyone in the ping group? Awful as it sounds, we could start checking folks in the group to see if they have a bunch of wins against the Troll in their battle stats.
