We're looking into this! You should be required to have a mask, we're figuring out why it's not making you guys atm. :)

I think maybe during one of the plots? In general, the holiday is a Masquerade. You should be in a mask, haha. I know some people don't enjoy putting one on, but you can be pretty creative about layering. :x

OKAY SO:

• You should now get an error if you're trying to dance with someone that does not have a mask on
• You should also get an error if you do not have a mask on and you're trying to dance

basically, be a good friend and make sure you and your friends are in masks.

It's not tagged for the masquerade. I guess I can be nice and include it.

Generally, masks that restock at Migrating Masks count, some free masks we've done in the past, TS masks, etc. Not all masks on site work! What error message are you getting? It could be that your partner doesn't have a mask that counts. It could also be that if you just but on the mask, you have to wait about five minutes for the cache to catch up!

It was a bug that they were able to dance before without a mask. :) We've since fixed that. You need to have a mask on to dance, which you can find from the shop Migrating Masks (or grab one from the user shops). You and your partner need to have masks on to dance.

I don't think it's confusing at all. It's Mask items that are specifically for Masquerade, including those from the Steamworks Menagerie, Migrating Masks (which is only open during the holiday), a masquerade themed mask bag in the Millionaire Center, a few token shop masks we've done specifically for the holiday, and I believe a few free masks over the years.

Anything with Mask in the name counts (as well as items we've tagged specifically for this event) as a Mask now for dancing.

Guys, I just pushed a change for all masks. Anything with the name 'mask' should work. If you just put it on, then there is a cache.

Give it 10 minutes! When I pushed the change, you have to wait for the cache to catch up and update the masks lists. If you still get the error in ten minutes, ping me. :)

It’s not just migrating masks anymore.

Everyone posting right now - give it 10 minutes. The mask list is based on cache, and since I pushed a change to make all items with 'mask' in the name, the list has to update. If it still isn't working then, let me know. I already know everyone is having issues right this second ;)

You have invited the mysterious stranger to a dance, and have 14 minutes until you can dance again! I can dance with you? Maybe you are not the problem?

You may want to clear your cache. Maybe your computer (or rather browser) keeps thinking you don't have a mask?
