I actually really really like what you got. Do you think you could try changing Wirt's expression a little? Small pupils, his eyes glancing back towards the beast, and crinkled skin under his eyes to suggest paranoia would be great.

Uhm well the bent leg looks a little bit like it's wrapped around the straight one? You could try make the top of his leg thicker/define his ankle more, and the pink spot is kinda floating between the legs as well? I don't think it would take much to correct :x!
