Ravenna was right-handed, so she looked at her left hand. "My life line is long and deep, which means I'm well-balanced, and have good health." Next, she found her heart line. "It's deep and curved. That means I am sensitive and intuitive, and have a stressful life." Then she found her head line. "It's short, sloping and more faint than the other lines. That means...I'm a practical and non-complex, and a daydreamer.."

By observing my left palm, since I'm right handed, I see a long deep life line which according to the book means I will have good health, stamina and a well balanced individual. It also has a marking of a trident which explains how lucky I am, it also means I will be happy, wealthy, and healthy.
My heart line starts in the middle finger, and according to the chapter is because I am self centered in my approach to love or are consumed by the need to be loved. hum, very interesting. It is also a long line, which represents and open and warm person and/or a person who is naive to believe there are perfect relationships.
As for my head line, it starts with the life line, that only means I have a strong will, which I do. It is a long line that represents my intelligence and good memory. This also represents the fact that I do not overreact to situations and think things through before taking action.

Oberserving my left hand I found the following:
Life Line
Long and Deep The book says that this means I am a well-balanced individual with good health, stamina, and vitality. I would agree with this statement
Heart Line
Long, deep, chained and parallel to the head line This means that I am open and have an overall warmth. However, it also means I have a naive belief that perfect relationships exist. I don't think my belief is naive at all! The deepness means I have a stressful life! Well, I mean I am a teenager at high school! How much more stressed can I be?! The chained means I am easily hurt or represents a time of depression in my life. I would agree with this statement also. Finally, the parallelness means I am emotionally stable laughs!
Head Line Long, deep, and curved upwards This means I am intelligent with a good memory. This is definitely true, I was sorted into Ravenclaw after all. Deep means I have an excellent memory and curved means I am romantic, creative, and idealistic and open to new ideas!
I loved this class :D and I love what my plan tells me :D

Excited I glance at my book. Carefully reading each word a few times to fully understand correctly. Glances I see Peng () already tracing her hand, tongue out in consentration. I inhale to steady my nerves and hold out my left hand (as I am right handed). I use my right hand to trace the life line and frown slightly.
My findings for my Life Line:
Forked Line - Forks indicate an interruption, reirection or life change. Also could mean surronded by scattered or split energies.
Pushing down the unsettled nerves I go on to trace the Heart line to see what it reads.
My findings for my Heart Line:
Curved - Indicating a very physical, emotional, sensitive and intuitive person
"Whelp that hit a nail on the head" I thought to myself. Feeling a little uneasy at being so exposed I move on. Tracing the last line. My findings make me chuckle to myself.
My findings for my Head Line:
Short - Indicating a practical and non complex person. Someone who is blunt.
Smiling and please that this is a great read of who I am my quill dots the final i's on the page. This was an exciting and yet somehow scary lesson. But I must admit it was very fun!
House Slytherin
Fable stared at her hand her brow furled. Her book was open in front of her.
My Life line deep and surprisingly long it stops about a half a inch about my wrist. No Breaks...so it looks like Im going to live a long and healthy life? hmmm.
My Heart line is long, which means Im open and have warmth. mumble reads to herself and " have a naive belief that there are perfect relationships." blushes Oh! I read the wrong one...Its very long. "shows signs of co-dependency toward partners." Fable gets a grumpy look on her face It looks like its deep as well, so.." indicates a stressful life." Tell me about it. And its curved," Indicates a very physical and emotional, sensitive and intuitive indiviual."
My Head line is very long and straight, deep, broken, and forked, So..."Indicates a versatile, complex individual, has a excellent memory, concentration and a sensible nature. Broken indiciates...inconsistent thinking or nervousness and mental exhaustion. And finally forked, its a strong fork, called the writers fork or lawyers fork. This person enjoys debate and can see both sides of an issue. This indicates great imagination and someone who used his psychic powers and writing and speaking abilities throughout life."
Fable sits back contempalating her and surprised at how accurate (both IC and OOC) it is.

Assignment
Megan stared at her textbook, then at the chart Professor Trelawney had up then at her hand and back at her book again. Divination had never been her strongest subject and trying to decipher her fate from her hand was just not something she was certain she truly needed to learn. She'd rather have her fate play out its own, no previews. But she took a deep breath and studied the chapters suggestions on reading her palm.
She looked at the Life line first and found in her book what it said. To her it looked like a chained pattern which, according to her book, indicated that she would be susceptible to health or emotional problems and also that her life may take many different paths.
"Like I need more problems in my life," she thought to herself and sighing marked what her Life Lineindicated in a column on her partchment then turned the page to do her heart line. Looking more closely at it, it appeared to have a double fork at the top but also looked broken. Not able to decide whih it should be she chose to read about both. "Double forked: Indicates your life combines romance with practicality and common sense. Broken: Indicates a person who is often stressed emotionally, can be subject to mood swings. And suffers from emotional trauma.
Megan took a deep breath and shoved down the thoughts that came to her head and marked "Broken" in her Heart Line column then bracing herself once more read on to her Head Line. Looking once more at her hand, she saw that her Head Line was branched downward. She looked at her page and read:
Branched Downward: Signifies struggle, possible depression, sorrow and distress and disappointments in certain points in life.
Megan stared blankly at her book for a moment trying to comprehend what exactly this was telling her. Shaking herself out of her stupor she wrote in the Head Line column what her palm indicated then looked over her parchment to review.
Life Line: Chained - You are susceptible to health or emotional problems. You may also experience a life path that takes you in many directions. Heart Line: Broken - Indicates a person who is often stressed emotionally, can be subject to mood swings. And suffers from emotional trauma. Head Line:Branched Downward: [i]Signifies struggle, possible depression, sorrow and distress and disappointments in certain points in life.
Setting her parchment down Megan just wasn't sure what to think. If she went by what her palm was telling her, she would most probably not have a healthy life, that she was moody and emotionally traumatized and that she was most likely to struggle with depression and sorrow throughout her life.
"I will not allow myself to be overcome with this. I make myown fate, not the scriggly line son my hand! and taking a deep breath, took her paper up to Professor Trelawney to grade thinking Its full of doom and gloom, she's bound to happy about this.

I got full marks when we were doing Oneiromancy because I interpreted my dreams as death omens." Poppy sat quietly, pondering this and that while she waited for Professor Trelawney to make her rounds toward her.
"My Heart Line branches upward which represents a keen interest in the opposite sex and generally positive relationships with others," Poppy began gamely.
"My Head Line is deep, showing that I'm sensible. It also features a prominent writer's fork at its end."
"My Life Line is short though, so my life will be brief or marked by sickness."
