Nice job! I adore HA's on here. let me know if you need any tips for specific item types and stuff. I found backgrounds particularly hard to find when I started out!

What most people do is they post on the art boards with examples of their art and ask how much more experienced users estimate the art at! You should try it out. Also some people start by doing a few freebies (people generally tip) so they have examples of art.

Any tips for for a new user for getting into art sales on here dear?

I haven't really looked around the items around yet. Most of them I just added to my wardrobe and not trying it out. I'll play with it some time. Haha. It's kinda getting pretty late where I live, and I have work over the weekend.

Ah. I do have some samples. I draw for people in another avatar forum like this one, and I also have some drawings I did for friends so maybe I could use that.

Now! Strap yourself in because Pac asked about art suggestions and I'm going to be throwing some info at you. Sorry for the information overload in advance. :P

I agree about the freebie idea. It's great for adding more sample work and getting a bit known. ^-^ There are people far more experienced with selling art here BUT my main suggestion? Observe. Creep on the Art Market HERE for a few days and look at the art people are providing and for how much. The style will be different but you'll get a hint of what quality goes for how much. You'll also get a clue about headshots vs whole body and the price difference there. Black and white vs. color. Traditional vs. digital. All that jazz.

Before making your thread:

1. Read the forum rules on the sticky at the top of the Art Market forum, and make sure you're abiding by them to cover your bases.
2. Try and come up with a list of things you will draw, those you won't, and those you can try. Such as "will draw OCs, won't draw robots".
3. Consider if you're wiling to work from descriptions or if you are going strictly by a collection of some reference pictures.
4. Set prices/guidelines and list them clearly.

Last time I checked the art market was kind of inflated, so I'd suggest starting a first thread with an estimate of 10% cheaper prices then average. (I can try and help price your stuff if you like but I've been a bit out of the game only doing freebies lately o-o;; )
