Folks can start talking about characters if they'd want, I still need until tomorrow until the antibiotics kick in enough that I feel up to making any sort of thread, and I'm not sure how to do a starter without an idea of what sort of cast might be appearing. :P

I have two basic ideas

Shinji: A native of shadowglen, something of an antisocial book nerd who as adopted into an old money family. He wouldn't know much about flying a ship but he's an excellent businessman and a polyglot and would probably be more involved in the trade side of things. Stumbling point is I'm not sure if he'd bite the hook and be part of an airship crew, on account of the aforementioned antisocial.

Colette: An alchemist who tends to focus on medicines, would make a good ships doctor and has more compelling reasons than shinji for wanting to travel the world and basically just get away from life for a while. Can also be a little abrasive but in a more well meaning sort of way than Mr. "Never speak to me and my 40,000 books again" above.

It'll probably be easier to make a decision when I see some other people's concepts.

Kind of a rough idea of my character:

Malakai Fausto Kai is an artist currently living in Delphi. His father is a carpenter and owns a furniture making business (Fausto Woodworks) where Kai occasionally helps out. He learned carpentry from his father and a bit of metalsmithing from his uncle. Kai travels a lot as Fausto Woodworks gets clients from all over Subeta. He also likes to travel to find inspiration. Overall, he is very optimistic guy and very outgoing. He is super social and gets comfortable with people quickly, even if they're antisocial and don't speak to him.

I generally like to focus on 1 character in group rps like this one just cause juggling interactions can get a little hectic when there's more than five players involved. That said there's certainly no reason I couldn't start with one and then introduce the other when things have gelled a bit.

Your guy sounds like a lot of fun though.

Max is a Centropolis native and a member of the special ops. Specifically, he's a sniper, but his excellent record has let him partake in other odd and ends jobs. Max is also undead, but the sheer amount of stage makeup he applies would lead most to believe he's just a thin and unhealthy looking human. Despite being undead, Max has not lost his keen mind and scenes which keeps him in his job...until recently. Max's boss and a select few people really knew Max was undead, and because of a recent event, it also became known to some unsavory individuals who are now calling for his resignation. Needless to say, Max has a bit of downtime while the smoke blows over. Socially, Max is pretty open and he's willing to learn new things. He'll fight for the underdog and not afraid to make a fool of himself (expect bad puns) if it gets you to smile on a bad day. Those that are anti-social or gruff he takes as a challenge to befriend. Also, if you leave a can of silly string on the table, he turn into a 12 year old.

Chlorr was also Metropolis for the longest time, she only recently changed usernames.

I'm torn between a few of my lesser-used characters, but I'll probably go with my young mechanic, because they make the most sense, and they're fun. I'll add more info after the holiday, when I'm not fumbling on my tablet. :)

I decided to make an avatar for Colette because I'm leaning in her direction. Masquerade is dressier than she normally does, ordinarily she's more practical.

Hello everyone. I don't know if you guys even remember me, it's been so long... I'd totally be interested. I have quite a busy life now, but I can be on from 10pm to midnight almost every night. I would love to do this again. Probably with a new character though. Jaqueline has too much history I'm thinking.
