For us, one is the perfect number, because while he is the most people-friendly pooch I've ever had, he has bad manners with other dogs. He's not mean, just tries to be very dominant and a bit of a bully, which makes the other dogs angry.. he's a one dog boy.

Emma is one of those gentle dogs, so she might get a little protective at first, but warms up after a bit. Sometimes it is easier to have one dog.
