Haha, yeah that one and the glowing one seem a bit underdeveloped for being stage 5. But that fly trap one is pretty cool! And I like the look of the bleeding one, so I might actually go for that if I like the final stage.

at least pet npcs you wouldn't have people trying to think that they're real people with real feelings. there would still be relationships among them but there wouldn't need to be any race or body type politics. I just think that adding humans is an attempt to make subeta hyper real and it may alienate some less open minded users.

Honestly, as the users of subeta are human, I'd worry we'd still get the all the human relationship-things projected onto the NPC pets!

Yes, the dissolving flytrap thing, really like that so far.
The colours for the strains seem quite muted - so far - compared to last year.

at least there are different species of pets. you can't say that's a fat looking anyu, then someone else goes no it isn't, my arm looks just like that. it's a freaking bear. if someone tries that I'd laugh at them. we would still get all of the relationship things projected onto pet npcs, we'd get gender stuff, we'd get sexuality stuff. but that is stuff they obviously care about and promote. it'd take a conscious effort not to put that into the site. at least without humans, npcs would stop changing race on us.

I do think that people are people (Sorry, Depeche Mode) and would project something anyway. Well, I get nervous about my pixel pets every time there's a revamp, and I guess others have even deeper connections to the site/characters!
Reading some of the past venom on revamp posts has maybe tainted my views.

I don't like revamps generally. I'll adapt to them in time though, I just don't like change. if I really don't like it I'll replace it with css so I can see the old one. sometimes the old ones just have more charm than the new ones do. the new ones are always trying to prove something.

It's a good job you are so handy with the old css! I know where to head in a coding emergency. :)

Yeah, I guess there is a sense of always having to change, to upgrade - even for art/images - as new technology appears, everyone immediately jumps on that and everything else is obsolete - whether it really is or not.

At least the last Torrent update got us Girly Fish!

Got to be honest, hadn't had my cherry torrent long, so I went for worst case scenario 'argh it's all changed' before actually looking at the pictures.

most people like the charlie revamp, I don't really. they made the pet from subtly evil to outright evil.

Hopefully the feedback will take that into account - mischief makers should be naughty not bad. I really liked the hand pose on the revamp, plotting tricky tricks. Was it the grinning teeth that were too much?

Something else I find odd is on the subetapedia, they list good/evil/neutral characters, but that seemed a weird way to organise NPCs.

I like the idea of Good/Evil/Neutral, but it's inherently flawed. I'd prefer they get rid of it and just have some historical articles on old plots so we could know who's who, along with the lists of characters with the little tidbits and maybe some longer NPC articles about the more developed characters. The Islander plot was before I joined, so I don't really know much about it. It would be nice to have a reference to that, as well as some of the other site events that have happened. It would be especially helpful for newer users
