I like to subvert the concept - never go out to eat on that weekend (insane prices). Gift? Hit the charity/thrift store and find something cheap and funny. Makes Valentines more meaningful!
And never gift on the day itself. Tiny rebellion!

i never really buy stuff during celebration season high demand. i usually wait the day after it when stores are just trying to get rid of the items. haha.

Valentine's Day is a huge Hallmark holiday. My bf and I don't really do cards, but we do go out to dinner. A lot of the restaurants have fancy menus, so it's a fun event. We don't go out that often, so it's nice to have an extra fancy meal. I'm not so thrilled about it this year, because although we are going to our favorite restaurant, it's going to feel like -30 degrees outside... so not excited about having to wear a dress so I'm trying to figure out how to layer strategically haha

I used to have such a crush on him in highschool but never said anything. When we had our Highschool reunion, I reconnected with him. I decided to go out on a limb and see if my old girly teenage feelings could be something haha. If I have a good time, i may ask him for it to be a 'date' the next time. (He's very shy, so I gotta make the moves. I'm cool with that, I am a Gryffindor after all ;) )

Hehe my BF and I are seeing it on Valentine's day then going to some medieval themed restaurant where we have to eat with our hands. SUPER ROMANTIC VALENTINE'S EVER. Then again we always do stupid crap on valentine's day... No cards or flowers, only random stupid fun shit. I think last year we went to Dave & Busters (think adult chucky cheese) and then I think there was indoor go-karting. I swear we're adults!

I'm annoyed nowhere near me has Hail Caesar! D: I have to drive like 45+ mins to get to a theatre to see it. Deadpool is somewhat odd that your theatre wouldn't play it. Maybe the rights were too expensive?
