I want to keep just the bleedy eyes bit of Enamoured And also the Butterfly Bruise had some nice stages that I'd want to keep.

I wasn't totally sold on this at first but I've completely fallen in love with the way my virus looks right now and I'd really love to be able to go back and use it ;^;

And I've always loved the first stage of Butterfly Bruise

I loved a few of my strains phases, the final included, but I'd love to have one of the phases where I can show my face :)

This would be interesting. I got the Doom Bloom strain this year, and while the 7th stage was interesting, I didn't love the last one much (especially the face). So it'd be nice if I could play with the earlier stages somehow.

AH! I'm so glad staff is liking this idea! I feel like many people have wondered about it each year, and I thought it was already shot down, so I'm pleasantly surprised.

You know, at first thought, I was in agreement that all the viruses should be open to everyone. Because I didn't see how being able to buy a stage of a virus defeats the purpose of getting infected during survival. We aren't getting infected now with the reward of access to all stages in mind, so why would it change? But then, after thinking about it, the problem is that often (but not always) the 5/6/7th stages are too similar to the final stage. So for some infections you really wouldn't need to go through getting the virus to use it if you could just go to Rachelle and buy the 7th stage. I would say, 'well, just make stages 1-5 available,' but then you have something like doom bloom where the final stage (well almost every stage) really is completely unique and it just doesn't fit all situations. So reluctantly, I agree that we should only have access to the viruses we've unlocked. Plus, as someone else pointed out, it makes the feature more interactive. More to work for. (Not that we don't have plenty to work towards around here!)

Bonus, I love the lore angle that Rachelle (or her potential creepy mad genome scientist partner) is simply manipulating genes already inside our zombie selves! :D (And yes to using creepy level-of-infectedness type words rather than 'stage 1/2/3' YAAAAAY!

I was referred over here by the FAQ with the wish to get certain stages of the viruses/strains whether through an item or in a shop, so this is what I'd be looking for! I like the idea of going through the infection and only getting an isolated stage(s) at the end, and the lore of having Rachelle and her scientist partner "alter the dna" to get the traits you want sounds cool. Full support!

I kept saying I wished you could wear partial stages somehow. I thought there was no way it could happen since it would explode the current wardrobe layout. I think this is a really good idea!

I support this! The stages are really cool and well drawn, and it would be nice to be able to see and use them more! ^^ I also like the idea of having to finish the strain first, because (as it has been pointed out) some stages are rather similar to the end result. It's my personal opinion, but it would make finishing strains feel more rewarding too haha. Just a bonus. xd

I know I already support this, but the more I think about it, the more I need this. AND I would want the partial stages to exist just like other Rachelle items - they appear over the base, but you can wear skins under them.

I am wearing Bobbitus as I progress Brain Rot, and HOLY SHIT I LOVE THIS. Brain Rot colors match great and make Boobitus even creepier! Being able to have a partial Brain Rot over Boobitus would be amazing!

Having the stages of the viruses would be so great! I just wish it does not come an exclusively CSC feature.

Zombie skins have just gotten more and more ridiculous to the point that most newer ones are unusable because of how far off the base they go. Hopefully this year is different but still, there's so many skins that are just way out of control. This would be an awesome way to let us enjoy the earlier, easy to work with skins. We don't even need to allow the crazy ones (like Doom Bloom's plant) if we really have to, even though they'd be super fun.

Yeah!!!! I totally support this. I loved all the stages of Doom Bloom last year and would love to rock the plant as an HA. :D

I support this idea. I'd love to have Stage 4 of Clusterflux because I would wear it. The final stage has now ended up with all the other skins which will never see the light of day on my HA again.
