Finally back from being out most of the day (Pathfinder gaming takes sooooooo long sometimes)! I am going to try to work on adding more tonight. Also, my dork of a cat is obsessed with drinking straws, and she was just thinking of stealing one my partner left in his drink ^.^. I can't stop giggling right now.

- Yeah, I hate when doctors won't listen. I...had an incident with my primary doc last week that triggered me pretty badly in terms of past stuff, so I was nervous about this appointment. It helped a tiny bit that the neurologist complained about a medicine my primary gave me because I had a kidney stone in October and the med increases the risk of kidney stones. It also made me realize even more that my primary doesn't really care and hasn't been treating me properly, so it's time to find a new doc (sorry if I kind of faded on the happy stuff).

- My Subeta family is tremendous help, too, though! I'm definitely smiling a lot here. hugs There are some things that can't be made better with medicine, and I get through those kinds of days with this group.

The neurologist told me I had to quit taking ibuprofen before he can get a good look at what is going on (it's the only thing that helps right now, but he thinks taking it is causing more kinds of headaches), so...wish me luck!

- At first he said 2 to 3 weeks when I asked if I should call in if the pain persists, but then he told the front office 3 to 4 weeks. I'm stuck til February 10th -.-.

- Sent you the stuff! The neurologist didn't offer an alternative for now (I'm a little scared about the next few days), and he thinks that I might be having three different things going on. He said he thinks it's a combo of migraines, tension headaches, and rebound headaches from taking ibuprofen so long (totally didn't know that was a thing). He said I needed to quit so he can see how much of the symptoms are that and how much are the other two. I had to start taking ibuprofen every day to get through the pain starting in November, but the migraine increase was happening since last January.

Hey cuties! The snow is falling so fast and heavy here that visibility is near zero, so I'm stuck at home... maybe all weekend. XD No work, huzzah!!

I've never heard of rebound headaches before, either!! I hate how fickle medicine is on the body sometimes, like it does more harm than good or just backfires altogether. It must be really tough living with chronic head pain. :c -hugs tight-

I know you can get painkiller migraines! I normally get them if I didn't catch it fast enough and drug myself on sumitriptan, co-codamol, and ibuprofen XD! But the sumitriptan normally does the job on the painkiller migraines :/! You'll probably have a few withdrawal migraines for a week or so after taking the ibuprofen for so long :(! Tension headaches don't tend to be as painful as a migraine from what the doctor told my partner when he thought he was getting migraines but the doctor was like you can walk and still function, you don't have a migraine xD! Use a pain-scale for each time your head hurts and hopefully he'll be able to work out which were migraines! I really hope they can help you <3! There's truly nothing as horrific as a migraine!

- hugs tight back Every medicine I've tried for these so far as been worse. They used to be ok when they were like...one every six months, but I feel like I need to get this stuff resolved so I can have a life! It's easier than passing a kidney stone (that made me stop feeling the migraines for a week because of the pain), but I'm hoping for a solution soon.

- I know that the sumatriptan was one of those that made my migraine worse, and I only every took it once. I just didn't expect the ibuprofen to do it. It wouldn't surprise me about the withdrawal migraines, but I'm all confused about how my brain can trick me into thinking I need to take the ibuprofen. I get that it makes pain receptors more sensitive, but...how am I having auras if I'm not having migraines? I guess I just didn't expect my brain to be such a jerk lol. I mentioned family drama was a trigger, which is what I think made him say they were tension headaches. He also told me to try to manage that, and I was sitting there thinking about how that's as impossible as me flying to the moon by flapping my arms XD. I've been recording pain level, daily number of auras, and daily light trails since Nov, and he at least seemed impressed and wanted me to keep doing that.

Sadly, I have to let myself sleep now. I made an appointment for 4 PM that I can't eat or drink before for 8 hours, so...I stayed up super late on purpose. I will try to respond later today sometime! edit sorry if this somehow posts twice! Subeta was having issues and wouldn't post for a few minutes.

I am hoping a better solution comes soon, too!! I honestly know what you mean about distractions from chronic pain. I have severe scoliosis and my back is usually a big slab of pain. The only relief comes in OTHER pain (my wisdom teeth are coming in right now, for example) or when someone gives me a heavy massage (the pain subsides for about 20 minutes). So I feel for you. <3 But we can't massage your brain, unfortunately. :c Sleep well dear!

Awe honey I am so sorry to hear you are suffering so. Rebound headaches are news to me as well. I mean I know you can get addicted to certain pain drugs and your body freaks out when you do not have them but I never though Ibo would be one of them. I hope they get this straightened out soon and get you some relief.

Hahah my partner's cat is obsessed with straws :DD She also sometimes reacts to things on laptops, like if I start dragging a tab around without letting go (when it makes that tiny preview of it) and one time my partner left her computer to go to the bathroom and she'd been playing Elder Scrolls Online and there was some sort of fairy or something flying around, I'm not sure. It was white and glowing anyway and the cat was staring at it really intensely like "I'M GONNA MURDER IT' xD Omg I'm so sorry to hear that :( It's scary when people who are supposed to help you are doing the opposite.
