pinging for you as I think you reached the limit
I googled the error and thought it might be a firefox error bug, kinda wondered if reinstalling would fix it. I didn't actually see that article yet, I think that is pretty new and came out after I googled stuff
for the people pinged
THIS IS THE LINK YOU WANT TO UPDATE YOUR FIREFOX - GO TO IT IN A DIFFERENT BROWSER
if that doesn't work, uninstall, reinstall
I have the most recent version. I actually uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, it did nothing. I get the Untrusted error, but NOT for Subeta, for Cloud Flare... it's the DDoS protection that's in place that FF does not like. Which is odd, because my brother and SIL use FF on Windows 10 and have not had ANY errors.
you're using win10 also? try going to that link I posted above from chrome or whatever browser you're using. you may have uninstalled and reinstalled before a patch came out for it
this link that provided tells you how to fix it, and it really does look like this is what is causing it.
if that doesn't work, type about:config into your url, search for security.pki.sha1_enforcement_level and set its value to 0 (it'll warn you about voiding your warranty, just click through that)
you may also want to update your antivirus... if it still doesn't work... we'll try to figure it out.
I am using 7. I literally, minutes before posting that, uninstalled and reinstalled FF.....and I just did that whole "security.pki" thing, set it to 0 and it worked. Do you mind if I tell everyone on Subeta Facebook about that?!
No not at all. the information can be found in that article I had linked if you wanna link them to it too. Once 43.0.4 or whatever the next version is comes out, I don't think it'll be an issue any more.
(mine wants me to restart to update, here goes nothing)
[edit] yeah I just updated to 43.0.4, check your firefox version just to be sure. I never had the problem so I'm guessing it's an antivirus conflict or something?
I restarted and everything after I uninstalled and reinstalled like ya'll asked and it did nothing for me...so weird. But I'm glad it works now. Now maybe people will stop blaming Subeta and realize it was actually a browser issue.
oh don't worry, they'll still blame subeta. they're complaining about the 502/504s also. my update must have just come through for 43.0.4 cuz I haven't seen a pop up for it and I checked earlier and my version was fine. it may be worth just checking if your update has come through yet. but either way, glad going through about:config worked for you.
Thanks for pinging me here! I have Chrome at work fortunately, but will try seeing my FF version/updating at home when I get there :D hopefully it'll work out!
Let me know if you need help with it, I can walk you through it if you need me to :)
Thank youu, I'll hit you up if I can't get it to work :P
I just did the update and now it's working for me on FF again. So weird.
glad it works again! apparently it affected all https sites, though I didn't see anyone here say they had an issue with any others. could just be sites that use sha1
Works, awesome, thank you very much! (:
I wonder if it was tied to the checking the add-ons. A couple of my add-ons are "untrusted" at the moment because they're unsigned. So, I wonder if that same "protection" conflicted with CF's DDoS protection. shrug Just glad it's fixed.
I am using the latest Firefox, and this morning I went and 'refreshed' my browser through their site. The images now load.
I am using Firefox 43.0.4 (did not update today) and just had the error below occur for a few minutes, and the site wouldn't load. Went to Chrome to check this thread, then went back to Firefox and it seems to be working.
