Do you have two box things that wires go into, or is there only one? The 2 in 1 modem/routers have had some problems with firmware updates. I really think separate ones work better. If it really is a problem on your end you could try to get a firmware update. It might have been a problem with only a certain server last night and it was the one you were on, but I was on a different one. It's hard to say really.

lol So the description of "white" didn't help? lol (It's the most common answer given to geek squad type pros when asked what kind of computer they have.)

Actually, it's the 2 in 1 and I wouldn't be surprised if it is the equipment. Just because it came in a bag and looked all shiny and new doesn't mean it is. Maybe the week before we got it the router was at a frat party and got puked on. I'm due for a new computer soon, so that may help too. If all my problems stop then, well, we'll know for sure.

They aren't inherently black or white but my modem is white, so I'm guessing that is at least a modem... xD

No need. I might actually be switching to Charter in a month or two. It's hard to get decent service since I live so close to the university, but at least Charter does better on speed tests.
