I have the problem, too... My account is fairly new, so I know with absolute certainty that I've never started a game of Mystic Spindles before, on this computer, on this account, or anywhere. Nonetheless, when I tried to play today for the very first time, it told me my game was paused. It happened for all of the levels. I'm using a mac with firefox.

I really hope this gets fixed soon, a whole month without my spindles. :(

I have been having this issue as well, first time I saw this was in the beginning of December, still no change now in January.
Look at all of us, desperate to get our Spindles fix. :P
This seems to be an issue with https. I didn't notice it on Safari in iPad, but when I tried to play Spindles using Chrome on my Mac I spotted the shield icon in the address bar that says "This page is trying to load scripts from unauthenticated sources". When I disabled https by clicking the shield and then Load unsafe script (not something I'd recommend ever doing anywhere, mind you), the game worked normally.
Of course, disabling https should be only a temporary workaround and coders really should fix the underlying issue, but at least this way it's possible to play Spindles again.
: Thank you! I can confirm that your workaround was also successful in Opera running on Linux. (And if it works there, it should work just about anywhere...)
- cool! I was super happy to stumble upon the workaround ^^
- pls check out my suggestion above. Perhaps you could add this workaround in the first post so that other people can play again too :)
Thank you for your post. This is something I don't like doing but since it works, I'll use it for now.

I'm not really comfortable with disabling https either, but I'm doing that for now just to play Spindles and enabling it immediately afterwards. Hopefully there will be an official fix for this soon :)
I don't understand what you mean by clicking the shield. I trie to remove the https but it just comes back again. Can you exlain?
Hallamshire has a work around, but I don't get it.
Depending on your browser, you should see a shield icon somewhere near (or in) the address bar. When you click it, it opens a menu where you can disable https. Simply deleting "https" from the URL doesn't work.
If you'll tell me what browser you're using, I might be able to give more details :)
And, as always, you should use caution when disabling any safety features (like https)! Like I wrote above, I'm only doing it on the Spindles page and enabling it immediately afterwards.
thanks, I tried to open the mystic page a couple times (chrome) and saw the shield, clicked it, mystic spindles loaded! yay! thanks so much!
In firefox, it is a lock symbol (with a triangle with an explanation point if there is a problem), just to the left of the website. But you can't turn it off unless you enable it so it's customisable, in the settings...

It just don't work for me :/ If I click to the shield and change settings, the tables appear but not the spindles. It's the same in IE, but in chrome it is the worst.
What should I do?
Oy I'm not even certain where to start... Okay. I'm on google chrome on windows vista. When I try to load mystic spindles, I don't get a shield of any kind, where there is usually a green padlock, I have a plain rectangle, like a blank sheet of printer paper with the corner folded. Clicking it brings up a whole slew of info, but nothing allowing me to 'load unsafe' elements. It gives me links to chrome settings, chrome help, and certificate information. As well as 'details' which creates this programming looking box at the bottom of my browser explaining all the elements. I think the most useful information I could gather there was from the security section of that.

Whatever all this is, I hope it figures out soon. I really want to get these pets' intel levels going faster! :)
- I get this too. I've tried to look at all the different security tabs and certificates. It shows me in multiple places what's wrong, but no where is there an option to load the insecure elements.
It's so frustrating! D: I want to make my pets smarter dangit! It's holding up my subetaing T^T Do we know if staff is working on this? :/ Who would we even bug about it, Keith? Because it's a coding thing? Or is there someone else in charge of the games? you made a ticket about it so the issue has been seen yeah? Whatever happened with your ticket?
- I managed to figure out how to unblock the blocked content on mozilla, so I've been using that for spindles for now. But the game ran smoother on chrome, so I hope they are still going to fix this. (soon TM)
Do you know what's the status of this bug? Are the coders aware of this/working towards a fix? Spindles has been unplayable for over 2 months already.
It kind of sucks the security improvements, which should be a nice thing, are preventing us from playing and the only workaround (that doesn't even work for everyone) is to disable security features :(
No, I never made a ticket because I found this board and several people were having trouble with the game before I discovered the error.
I know, been very frustrating without spindles and worse having to play without secuirty features. :(
