I haven't seen mine once since signing up. Really bummed because I had fun stuff to give out.

MM today gave me something super nice. Now they are gone. I think they died. I hope I didn't scare them away with the item I sent them.
I really hope they come around. Finally have a couple theme ideas! D:
My MM is a no show apparently. Shoulda ended with yesterday.
Oh my gosh, I was given a really expensive item,... I cannot repay this. sobs
My MM today is great! Had a couple slow days but I'm having a great time gifting back and forth with today's.

what does one do when you&;re dirt poor (literally, spent my last 10 mill left on today&;s MM) buT they dont seem to have picked up on the fact your gifts are like trickling down the drain in quality and keep on sending you the nicest things and the nicest messages. D= I feel like it would be too rude to send it back to them(?) and I&;ve gone down into the road of wardrobe hunting.</p>

If you're working on a budget, I think a good idea is to go for a themed group of gifts in some way? That way it's clear you're at least putting thought into it. You could even do a theme-related final "big" gift too, like sending a set of jacket potatos and then a nice wearable jacket at the end? Don't worry so much about the actual price tag, as long as you're clearly getting in the spirit of things!
My MM today was ok, they sent me a few things which were super appreciated, but then they just poofed. Better than my last MM though.
they sent 3 random items it's something I guess. at least I know they're alive this time

As someone guilty of sending expensive gifts off and on randomly to my MM, my expectations aren't necessarily to be matched by worth, but just thoughtfulness. I'm not concerned that folks can't always 'repay' my SP for SP. I literally save millions for months to splurge on MM this time of year. I'm hoping that whoever gets what I send likes it. I'm just excited to get to participate and hopefully have a partner who plays off and on throughout the day. I try to sign up early, send a few before head to bed and then in the morning, every few hours when I can be online, send some more. I'm not on here nonstop, but try to makeup as I check in when I can.
Yeah, I tend to raid my item stash when it comes to MM too.
But it isn't about the item value! Honestly, showing enthusiasm is far more important than the amount! Cute messages (spelling words with letter ornaments, candy hearts, thank you bears, that kinda stuff) are always a fun idea, and usually pretty cheap too. My most memorable MMs haven't been because of expensive gifts, it's been because they were communicative, responsive, and creative.
Once again no sign of mine today~~~ Sometimes I feel like that if I don't send a expensive gift right way they will just ignore me

I'm really tired of being people's junk dumping ground.I have enough junk of my own.XD And its not like they're putting any thought into it, so I can't even say "Well at least they were thoughtful" This one is like just dumping all of their extras/junk on me.

Loving my MM today! Had a few rounds of no-shows, but today's MM is more than making up for it. ♥
And I agree re: expensive items. I have a habit of sending reasonably pricey items because, financially, I can. But I definitely don't expect expensive items in return! I am just ecstatic to have an MM who is communicative, creative, and thoughtful. I can always tell when my MM is having fun, and that makes the experience fun for me! :'D
