I don't really understand why anything on this site is supposed to be tedious. It's a game, the point is to have fun. You know, the thing tedium is the complete opposite of.
In other words, I'm down for this option, even if I'd never use it since I'm a non-battler.
I understand what you mean, but there are a LOT of aspects of this site that do require that free time, unfortunately. Restocking, achievements, etc...Some things just take a lot of clicking and clicking, and not everyone has the time to do them. I wish I had the free time for some of them, but when I have to do something tedious like for an achievement or something, I just pace it out over the course of a few days or weeks. Instant gratification isn't something you're going to get often here on Subeta, haha.
Right, I agree and that's understandable. It would be nice if we could have certain things be quicker. I played subeta before quick stock was a thing.
There were the same debates happening at that time about that, "being too easy" and what not lol. Seemed to have wiggled its way into an essential part of the game.
I'm a longtime member but I usually drift in and out of active play and I miss out on new features sometimes as a result, so I don't remember the time when quick stock was first introduced. I believe you when you say people said the same thing at the time though, though. Hindsight is 20/20, but I feel like there's a difference in mechanics there - User shops are most people's livelihood, so it's a pretty essential part of the site. It's a big player in item circulation. You could say battling is just as important to some people, but there's more than one way to increase your pet's stats, while on the other hand there was only one way to put an item in your shop before quick stock happened. Mass stocking is also a lot more common of a practice than mass stat-boosting, if that makes any sense.
ia! Subeta has a serious problem with trying to make things challenging but missing the mark and just making them tedious.
I'm going for the Luminaire theme this year, and to do that I have to free 1,000 Snow Fairies. That's not hard. Nothing about it is challenging. It'll cost me a few mil and lots of time spent clicking and loading thousands and thousands of pages. Nothing about it is going to be FUN. I'm not going to enjoy clicking a bunch of damn fairies. I'm only doing it for the damn layout and if I could simply pay 10mil and unlock the layout without all that clicking I would do it in a second.
We now have a quickstock option for collections. We've got the resort so we don't have to feed and play with our pets every day. We've got quickstock to move things to our shops, and an autopricer. And many of the tedious things that require lots of clicking actually REALLY just require lots of hitting F5, like carving pumpkins or spending accumulated exp in the BC.
I don't see why there couldn't be a 'use all' option for stat boosters, just as there's an 'add all items to collection' button for collections now. Battling is already expensive, and ludicrously time consuming. It is possibly the MOST time consuming activity on the site, as players either have to drop billions of sP on boosters or spend literal YEARS training a pet. Why does it have to be as much of a pain in the ass as possible?
