(OOC: Hi all! It looks like our wires got crossed here. Could you please remove your spoiler tags? Only "out of character" comments should be put behind spoiler tags. If you're responding in character, it doesn't have to be behind tags! That way it's easier for me to respond.
, actually I'm not even entiretly sure how much it is. I'm guessing they probably have a utensil they use to do a "measure")
Professor Mathers watched as some of the students were struggling with the potion, then heard Kendra's cries for help. The other students could wait for a moment. She stood from her stool and crossed the room quickly to her. She grabbed a bottle and dropper from her pocket and used the dropper to place a few drops of the potion on Kendra's arm. Her arm quickly returned to normal.
"Try to clench your fist and then straighten your fingers again, dear," she said to Kendra. She watched her do as she said, however the movements were still quite stiff. She tutted. "Up to the hospital wing with you, Miss Krum. You will still receive marks, don't worry."
Once Kendra Krum's situation was under control, she started to walk towards Max O'Conner's cauldron to help him clean up his potion. She heard Rox's question and stopped to answer.
"Miss Oatwood, 21 seconds should still be sufficient. Your potion may not have the right potency or coloring, but it will still work. Now if you'll excuse me..."
She walked off and headed towards Max again. Noticing she forgot her wand, she stopped short and headed back for her desk. She quickly grabbed it and waved it at Max's cauldron. The blue smoking potion drained from the cauldron. She heaved a sigh, "You still have some time if you'd like to start again, Mr. O'Conner. If not, please have a seat next to one of your classmates and watch their work."
She heard the pop from Ginny's neighbor's cauldron and waved her wand at that cauldron and the floor as well. Thankfully, the potion had not gotten on any of the students. This was turning out to be a disaster. Red flew into her cheeks.
Out the corner of her eye, she saw Aderyn's hand shoot up. She breathed an inaudible sigh and walked over to her. A small smile curved her lips as she saw the orange liquid.
"Nicely done, Miss Jones. Very good for a first try."

The potions master walked around the room again after it seemed the chaos died down for a moment. Activity was buzzing in the dungeon classroom. She stopped at Ethel Cwen's cauldron and looked down at the bright mixture. She had missed seeing the flames, as they went out before she reached the table.
"You let the potion get too hot, dear. Next time, lower the heat a little, Miss Cwen," she said and nodded. She looked over to Emelia Bowen after. "Yes, I see that, Miss Bowen. Do clean up your potion... It will not be usable, and you don't want to get that on your skin."
Jade returned to walking around the classroom, nodding occasionally at the students that had finished successfully without the color of the potion being too far off. This included Ernessa, MG, Rowan, Ravenna, Charlotte, Lapis and Lucas.
She cleared her throat when she reached her desk again. "For all of you who have finished your potion but did not result in a golden orange, please put a sample of your potion in a vial and place it on my desk. You will receive full marks. As I have previously stated, I do not expect you to get it right on your first try. If I have time, I will review the vials submitted and advise how you can improve. Please be careful in collecting your samples - some of your mixtures may have unwanted affects if spilled."
When she finished speaking and some of the students started to collect their samples, she weaved around the tables to check on some of the students that were not yet finished. She saw Jennnifer Stonem's black sludge of a potion and wrinkled her nose.
"No need to collect a sample of your potion, Miss Stonem. It looks like you stirred the wrong way for the first stirring step. Also, it looks like you may have overheated it as well. Go ahead and clean up your cauldron and observe one of the students not yet completed."
She heard a loud pop coming over from Goldy's table and rushed over. She flicked her wand and the potion drained from the cauldron. She checked the table and noticed some of the potion had spilled over, causing damage to the table. She would have to have one of the house elves clean it up later.
"Did any splash on you, dear?"

You don't have to continue after you finish your potion. Anything else done is up to you. :)
After being satisfied that Goldy's potion didn't cause any damage to any of the students, Professor Mathers went back to observing the room. She noticed Sullivan finish his potion and nodded her approval of the color. He would be receiving full marks.
She turned slowly as she heard Gaia voice her question.
"The Forgetfulness Potion's effects are not as effective as using the Memory Charm. It is called the Forgetfulness Potion because it causes forgetfulness. The same as with forgetting what you where doing or forgetting where you placed your keys, forgetting a memory may someday turn to remembering the memory. It is more difficult to remember the memory when the potion has been administered, but if there is a strong trigger to bring the memory back, it is possible. It is for this reason that the Ministry does not use the potion when modifying the memories of Muggles when the Statute of Secrecy is in danger--that, and it is more efficient to use a spell than to try to get a Muggle to ingest a potion. I hope that answers your question," she said, then turned her attention towards the class again. She knew not waiting for the student's reply would come off as abrupt, but there were a lot of students in the class that would ultimately need her attention.
Beth Hale was the next student to finish their potion. The golden orange hue was almost perfect. She patted Beth on the shoulder and smiled, "Very nicely done, Miss Hale."
At least the class seems to have calmed a bit, she thought to herself. All the accidents had certainly wiped her out. She would sleep well that night.
She noted Megan and Fade's completed potions and saw that Peridot had finished as well. Another potion that was near the exact right shade of orange.
"Miss Gladstone, well done. It appears I may have been too harsh before."
