While I agree with you, some items inflate to beyond ridiculous and there are ones I won't buy because of that I am not sure your fish minion is the best example as it is an item from the July 2009 Collection. Those collections are currently 11.75M in shops AND they'll come back around in July...anyone who buys that fish for more than the collection price doesn't know how to do their homework. XD
Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!
- omfg are you serious. I should undercut that stupid fish even more XDD
I must say that I sell CSC for a little lower than most because I want to sell it. I don't want to make it a ridiculous amount just because I can.

Some of us don't do our homework though and might buy said fish minion...You know, those of us with a gallery of fish and a thing for restocking ;)
As for undercutting though, I've personally been able to make a lot off of it by buying up things I consider cheaper than they should be. Stuff's only worth what someone's willing to pay for it, and in some cases, that might be a lot if it's for a quest, a present, etc.

Yeah, well, I know this sounds bitchy but if you can't take a second to at least hover a high priced item before you buy it, you kinda get what you deserve. It's labeled as a collection item, and even if it wasn't subetalodge makes it a minutes work to check things out. P.s. I think you'd have figured it out and gotten a collection or poked someone to see of they would offer a deal off the collection price. You're a clever cookie. ^.^
I almost never buy things priced low unless I think it's an extraordinary deal, because some people do price down like demons and then people autoprice and before you know it the price has dropped out the bottom and it takes an age to bounce back. It's one reason I rarely reprice, I'll let items sit and sell eventually rather than race to the bottom.

Yeah, when you can buy the collection for less than 12m and just open it to get the fish, then you're definitely not undercutting by pricing it at 30m.
Well, one would assume so (for me personally, I'm not in a mega rush to get most items- if I think something is going to retire or suddenly become unavailable I might, but I find just as much thrill as digging through advertising posts to find things I want being offered at good discounts).
In the event of suddenly needing an item in a very short period of time, that's when I could see paying more. In the example of the fish (I'm not sure which fish you're talking about, but it sounds like you can get it by buying a 12m collection...), then yeah, you could do your homework and get the fish easily if that's the item you were after. I'm thinking more along the lines of some of those harder to find items in which there are still a few for sale but they're all extremely expensive- if I needed one of those right away, I'd be more likely to just pay the going (albeit expensive) price.
As for buying undercut items, it's always a risk to buy a bunch of something and have the price still drop. It's happened to me before, though in the end, I've had more profitable bouts than I have losses, so I'll probably keep on buying :)
