im mostly seeing a "this content requires java plug in 12.4.1 would you like to install now" ad now at the top ad, idk what thats about i saw a "download / play now" blue button version of one in the screenshot i linked earlier along with that same black button version, and one thats grey with a white button w blue text "start now" but those are top ads, i havent seen the bottom intrusive ad yet since the latest ping to the forum, so, thats fixed? yay? idk how the top ones will fare with click jacking yet, though rn im not having issues

They seem to be gone for me now. Not sure if they're gone for good though.

Yeah, it looks like they took a little bit to fully stop being on the website once disabled them, from what I'm seeing? Both on tablet and on desktop.

For a few hours they were gone yesterday, then back in full force. Once you changed the network I no longer get the redirect to app store, but I have others.

Like ones that open a new tab. 123movies or something. Even though this is better than that and the ones that tell me I have a virus/uber hijacking ads, its still not gone.

At least for now it doesnt seem to be every page...but its still troublesome.

This is happening to me as well, but not on mobile. I've been being redirected on my desktop and laptop computer on google chrome and sending me to those same links. Should I try to delete the history, cache, cookies, ect?

Ah I spoke too soon, now I am getting them again. It went away for like 5h :c Just loaded subeta news page & once it loaded I was redirected to appitrk.com, whatever that is ;; it was a blank page.

• I only get them when I'm using the umm full website layout on my phone?? Not the mobile one (but that may be because it doesn't work for me and I switch quickly to full web lol)

I'm not getting ad-jacked anymore, but that Plug-In ad is still at the top of almost every page. Luckily the intrusive bottom ads are gone.

It seems like the ads are gone from SOME forum pages, but still show up on my shop pages, exploring, NPC & user shops, well -- everywhere else on the site.

just got a redirect for GSN Casino - FREE slots app that opened up the Google play store while trying to browse the human avatars forum. :s I hope that was a one off thing from just a misclick perhaps even though I'm pretty sure I didn't click anything, and not one that will persist. :s

I don't know if this is related but I sometimes open Subeta on a Chrome extension called Split Screen. This is so I can easily play Item Scramble - with one screen showing the game, the other showing Shop Search. Anyways, adblock does not work in this extension. For several months I've had to deal with ads but when I added the Subeta adblock code, they disappeared. Then just last night they reappeared, though nearly all the ads are something like "Download now" or "Play now" or both and all seem to link to a page to install an extension on Chrome - except this extension is actually malware.

So I get these ads in the Chrome extension, but not outside it (when I'm not using it) because of Adblock. But I don't know if these ads are something with Subeta or Chrome or my computer (seems like it's Subeta because any other site I go on that has ads - when using Split Screen - the "Download Now/Play Now" ads do NOT appear)

[] Hello, luv. Seems the ads are still hanging around in the banner area, although I have not had any redirects or floaters. The ads vary wildly as well, but mostly the simple "download me and let me eat your computer!" Granted I haven't been on since this afternoon, methinks, but just wanted to give you an update. The ads are only affecting subeta.net

I did notice (and perhaps this is only me) that I am not getting the ads when I go to my Edit Profile link (member profiles in general don't seem to have them), the V3 Wardrobe link, my pet profile links (8=8 lO.oj 8=8, 8=8 Risk 8=8), member's pet's profile's are ad free as well, and member shops do not seem to have them either.

Also, and I found it rather strange and had to double check, my Stock Market Portfolio came back. I could have sworn you had removed the game years ago. I only know this because I had the settings set on the sidebar to see my portfolio when we had the game and now it has spontaneously reappeared.

However, you can see they are not ad free.

I don't know how helpful any of this was, but I hope perhaps you may glean some information.

Edit: I did notice that after attempting to buy a stock I get an alert page with the mortiking and running ticker saying, "Oh no, you can't buy new stocks anymore :(" and it is ad free as well.

Edit: The Search Shops link is also free of ads.

Edit: Also, I don't know if this is because you guys are busy with the site, or if it's just me, but none of your secured pages are loading (for example the Buy CSC link). I'm assuming it's just me, but I wanted to throw that out there as well. They are loading now. Must have just been me.

The ads are definitely NOT gone. Now its all obvious attempts to scam or put malware on the device that accidentally clicks it, or both.

I'm still seeing shady-looking ads, but they're no longer redirecting me, so I'm happy. Thanks, Keith! <3

I just logged in and every single ad is one of those "download now" or ALERT your (insert some sort of computer file) is out of date! You must click here to fix it! I think there may be a roll-over issue with some of these too. When I feed a pet something and I have to confirm I want to feed that pet that item, the box is right overtop of the ad bar, and simply taking the arrow near the box yesterday was an issue for me as well.

At least I can post today without being interrupted by a redirect ad during my typing. I am going to browse insurance sites, and car sites, hoping my cookies change to car & insurance things instead.

It's a long shot, but have the folks in this thread using Adblock made sure that 'acceptable ads' are turned off?

while that may be the case why some people are seeing them even with adblock, I use adblock plus on my laptop and have every form of ad turned off, so on here I don't see ads whilst on it. My mobile devices, however, do not have adblock, so I'm predominantly seeing them there, thats why i was always redirected on mobile(in tab redirects, new tabs, google play store redirects, etc.) but on my laptop I never had an issue. so while adblock stops that while on an actual computer, it doesnt really do good for those who tend to play on mobile,

Is it possible that this could be an issue with the ad hosting service and not Subeta itself? It seems likely. Some sort of hijack?
