Man, I feel this. Back in the day, I was obsessed with pet slots. I think I have twenty-seven? And I paid for like ... most of them back when they were full price. Or at least twenty bucks? idk I just know I am full of remorse about it. I love a lot of my pet names still, but I don't do anything with most of them. I've got like ... my battle pet, my gourmand and one pet whose profile I worked on a bit, but other than that ... yeah, it's just names and I don't even feel a lot of them anymore.

Sigh.

I have 20/20 and will get more. I tend to get ones that I like the art for, and it helps that I'm not one of the people who feels like a pet needs to be "finished". I don't have custom pages for them and don't write stories for them (well, Quacksalot has a three sentence story, and Geheimnis has a one sentence story). Except for a few, the treasure chests are an afterthought (exceptions: Galaxielle, Kosmik, Galaxea, Brynhilde, and Rhain). My main battle pet is also my gourmand and book pet, then I have three other battle pets at various stages of training.

But I do like the art, so that's why I keep getting new ones.

I have 11 pets and it's too much since about 3 of them are my mains and the rest just come along everywhere I go. Currently focusing on NR and then on Tempest in the future.

I'm using 11/11 and I really want more like 14 or 15. Too many isn't in my vocabulary. My wife and I play in several universes when we write, and I have over 100 OCs in just 1 of them. I can never have enough "babies."

Currently 17, and I always want more. I'll likely have two more by the end of December (loyalty box coming up, plus I'll be able to afford another MC pet slot). I like to make story characters into pets, and I have SO MANY CHARACTERS and I love them all and they all need to be pets.

At one time I wanted more pets but now I have no bloody desire for the extra slots... I didn't even want the free one they gave us for questing. Sure sometimes I adopt pets in hopes of sparking inspiration again but in the end it all just fails. I focus on 6 pets right now the rest are just there because I either like the name or I just want the pet.

I had just one pet for a REALLY long time, I kinda miss that.

But I also want the Massive Family achievements, so I'll probably have to buy some pet slots in the future...

I just have my full ten, haven't saved up enough SP at one time for another slot. I'm pretty new to this site, only been here two months. If I had infinite SP I'd buy another maybe three or four slots, but I'd never want much more because it's just a hassle getting them trained up or read up or both. I adopted the majority of mine from the adoption center because I hate the idea of any pet, even a virtual one, staying abandoned. Pets I named myself: Siriusblack, Lassiedoodle, and Charghlie (who was originally a Charlie. Creative genius, I know :P) Most of my effort goes into obtaining a specific species/color combo that I like. I'm not too fussed about names like most people on here, and stories? Maybe someday. For now I'm just discovering everything on this site and ten is plenty for me.

i have ten pet slots and used all ten of them until... a few days ago, where i (sadly, nostalgically) abandoned 4 pets. i just didn't connect with the characters i had given them anymore! i'm redoing all their pages, as well.

You are using 4 of your 11 pet slots. I'm keeping it this way. They're all characters in my cafe story, and I have no good reason to any anyone new.

I used to have 8 pets, but I gave all of them up except for Frappe, because it was too much to handle and I didn't like the idea of having my pets being in separate universes.

Using 5 out of 11. I don't play for the pets and the ones I do have are modeled after OCs of mine for the most part.

I just got my 11th pet the other day. 80% of them were adopted rather than created, I don't mind having this many because I like making little forum banners with their pictures to use on Subeta. Plus I love some of the colors I can turn them into.

Using 43 out of my 45 pet slots. Planning to keep on going. :)
