the devil is a part timer is one of my recent favs. it's creative and you can see both sides of the main character, when he wants to be evil he'll act evil but left on his own he's a pretty stand up guy.
what's frustrating about it is that it leaves you wanting more and when I took a look at he mange I was blown away by the storyline and details. shame it's really hard to come by legally over here, I wouldn't mind supporting it -_-;
the fight finale is one in overlord and I have to say
SPOILER (click to toggle)
as cool as that was, it was also pretty frustrating. so many fillers in that fight!
I want next episode of Overlord now! :O
The fight was cool, but it isn't over yet and I want to know so badly what Lord Ainz has planned.
Interesting that Shalltear reset to her original NPC patters when she was attacked but when she was questioned about them she didn't think about them that much. But then again maybe thinking after you have just been attacked isn't very high priority for anyone.
But it clearly seems like Shalltear has switched owners.
yeah must be the status she's under.
I was mad watching that, just get on with it so I can see he's true plan! nooooooo wait till the finale!!! UGH!!!!!!!! :x
I want to know why he's not wearing any armour, makes no sense...
I was wondering the lack of armor too. And what about those metallic looking stciks he put under his belt, I can't think up a good explanation for them.
that finale was AWESOME!!!!
I hate that they set up a season 2 that might never happen but as an episode/fight that was kick ass :D
It was great! The huge sum of money/gold that was spent during the episode was also suprising. XD
I actually feel pretty optimistic that there will be season 2 for Overlord. I have also seen few people in comment sections of the anime site I'm using saying that there probably/likely/should be couple more episodes. I haven't found anything that would support that myself, but then again I can't read japanese so if these people have read it from japanese homepages for the series or studio I would gladly believe them.
SPOILER (click to toggle)
Since there was a clip of Cocytus facing lizard men on the opening I would think (or hope at least) that they have episode about that too. They did plan on attacking village of the lizard men at the end of latest episode so it could be possible there is still episode about that as an OVA or something. At least most of the time clips in openings are foreshadowing/hinting actual episodes and so far pretty much everything but that particilur clip has already happened.
Sure I could be wrong, but at least I feel optimistic/hopeful about this right now. All the sites I have seen list Overlord having 13 episodes, but OVAs, specials and other stand alone episodes aren't counted on those lists.
happy birthday :D
which forum are you visiting? crunchy roll doesn't support this anime so there are news posts about it sometimes but that's it.
yeah seeing all that cash I thought they were in the treasury... imagine spending 500 mil sP to get a pet back... I'd be RIP my beloved XD
Thank you. ^-^
I usually use animeplus for watching anime and I myanimelist to get extra info plus randomly other anime sites and whatever I can google if I'm interested enough to do that.
With that sum of goldI would consider very carefully too. And all the cash shop items that were used during the fight must have cost a fortune too.
well he did mention he spent his entire summer bonus getting that ring... priorities I guess ^^;
it hurt just looking at it liquefy XD
I usually go with crunchyroll but for some anime like overlord I go with animeflavor. funanimation has alot of restrictions =/
Yes, he did prioritise the game very much. I quess that since he didn't have family or friends Yggdrasil was among the most important things in his life. After all he considered going back to his own word like, what, whole three seconds (?) before deciding not to even bother thinking that.
I felt like cringing too every time he used cash shop or other high rarity item that he likely will never get back.
I'm currently using animeplus because they have good selection of animes, movies and even specials and OVAs that many of other sites I have visited don't have. It is down for me every now and then, though. When searching for free anime it's often the case.
I was mentally saying "stop! stop!" every time he broke a wooden stick XD
well even in the manga he considered going home in... one panel... just one panel.... in the entire manga!!!
at least he's commited, usually in anime the character's fight to get back home for at least half the season. most commonly until the very last episode when they decide to stay wih/bring along the love interest.
overlord takes nothing halfheartedly XD
well... maybe the specials, they use all the cliches in that one. the last one was so bad!
Same here. It was nice to see him using weapons of his guild members, but still.
Lord Ainz does have a good point of view for that in my opinion. Why fight to go back to a world where you have pretty much nothing and nobody to go back to when the world you currently are in is basically your home already.
If it were yet another "how to get back" type of game animes I wouldn't like it nearly as much. SAO and Log Horizon have nothing on Overlord and No Game, No Life. But I liked Log Horizon at the season 1 because they have actual planning and thinking things through instead of just action.
no game no life looked interesting, I mean the characters are over-powered like hell but the way they win is the fun of it.
I get the feeling they have zero respect for females though. I mean both the sister and the princess are.... confusing....
They are mentally overpowered, but their physical strengt is almost substandard. That's why their wins are so fun to watch.
Yes, it's very focused on fan-service and aimed at men rather than all audiences like Overlord is. Or those are my feelings on the matter anyway. I haven't bothered checking which audiences they are mainly targeted.
no you're probably right, I mean aside from the main male characters all the rest are female and very 2 dimensional. it was slowly turning into a harem XD
shame really, I liked it because the main character was so arrogant and fun, plus the art with bright and colourful. I really hate the dark and gritty type, so 1990's!!!
I really do hope overlord gets a second season but looking at how many animes ended up with just one I'm not getting my hopes up =/
decided to watch Ao no Exorcist since it was on my to watch list forever, not bad but not unique, feels like a down grade now after overlord XD
True. I hope that if it gets seconds season the main focus would still be on their world domination plans rather than eh, lets say comedy. You probably get what I mean. I liked the coloring too, it was so different from what I'm used to seeing.
I liked the music on Ao no Exorcist most that is what I remember first when I think of that series. The story itself is on a better side of normal action serie stories and I liked some of the characters much too. But yes, after Overlord it is little underwhelming.
yes the colouring and the details in overlord were on a whole new level. I sometimes pause the episode to get a better look at the designs and shading. so pretty u
I don't know... the end music in Ao no Exorcist is good but the OP of overlord is better... so was the first OP of soul eater :D
that was a good anime but they copped out mid way sadly :(
I don't even remember the opening or ending music for Ao no Exorcist. :o I meant fighting background music X and Exorcist by Sawano Hiroyuki. They are just awesome.
I'm reading Soul Eater, but I haven't watched anime further than episode 6 or 7. It seemed funny, I should try to continue it now that I haven't yet picked up whole bunch of ongoing animes to watch.
