I still think these have a lot less character and flow than my traditional sketches, but it's so, so, sooo much easier to modify the lines and add flat colour than trying to do that to a pencil sketch. I'm sure Paintool Sai has settings that'd give me something more akin to pencil, but I haven't found them yet (total Sai newbie)

Incidently, I won't be drawing everyone (just because some characters just aren't my style) but also Charahub has been super unreliable since I started this thread, so if you're thinking 'but my characters are cool and seem like Botanist's kind of thing, why she no draw me?', it might well be that I'm skipping you temporarily because Charahub won't show me your refs right now.
