it's a good feeling, but I still haven't gotten around to doing anything with my degree. it's a scary place when you're done.

what happened to your venue if you don't mind sharing? That's awful and I am glad though that you managed to find another place even if it wasn't for the date you imagined. Ah, yes wedding planning can be a huge royal pain for anyone. I love the whole process, I just didn't care for the headaches I endured. If I would have had the extra cash I would have had someone like me (I'm an event and wedding planner) help run the day. Granted my wedding was only two to three hours long in total. Any longer and I might have had a melt down, hahaha. And yep, always hiccups and road bumps with wedding planning. One ours was not being able to find a single cake server set. Can you believe that? The ones we were finding were ridiculously priced and the basics were no where to be found! So we ended up forgoing it and it looks like we were cutting our cake and serving it magically, haha. Only because we were using clear utensils. I'm pretty sure I'm one of the few brides who can laugh that off because a cake serving set just wasn't a must have anyway.

thank you, glad you got some good rest. I didn't sleep all that great. Tried to take a nap not long ago, that didn't work. Bah. And what else is soy in? I know it can be in makeup though since I don't slather a lot on every single day I don't worry too much about it. And hey, gimmie some of that cooler weather! Please? :P

That is the funny thing, my step mom is an event/wedding planner but she hasn't been much help at all. Whenever I had a question it would be brushed off. Also that is connected. 6 months before my stepmom started her own business which was the same as the company that she worked for, where we were having our wedding sooo they fired her and told her we couldn't have our wedding there. It was a pain. That was one thing we didn't worry about! We got our cake cutting set at hobby lobby for half price! haha you luck out sometimes! I'm still waiting on my guest book to come in that I ordered on July 29th :I It hasn't even shipped yet and its coming from Europe so I'm pretty worried!

bummer about your stepmom. Maybe she's bitter that she lost her job and wants nothing to do with the industry? Though if she offered to help she could at least hold off. Wow, to the place that fired your mom and banned y'all from being married there. That's kinda harsh, what if y'all were recommended by her and not family or friends? Insanity right there at it's finest, lol. I'd ask the person or place where you are expecting your guestbook if they have sent it yet, when they expect to send it and of course if they can hurry it along as it's been 30+ days since you ordered. Funny enough Hobby Lobby, Michaels and even some big box stores didn't have any cake servers during our search. We searched for a good time too before giving up.

I just did a search on subetalodge to see when they came about…Omen Islands Festival 2009. Wow, that's hilarious and sad. As they pose no real purpose these days. I remember when they were hard to come by or overpriced. LOL. Hm. Thinking of hoarding the bear trinket. Can't recall the others at the moment. Need to mosey on subetalodge and get the scoop of which ones there were again.

Well I messaged them last week and they said it should arrive with plenty of time but they haven't shipped it yet :/ Soo I'm still worrying because it has taken a couple of weeks for other items I have shipped for the wedding from over seas. I'm sorry you are in bad health but good you are taking care of yourself instead of worrying about other things!

I was surprised at who didn't have wedding things, Michaels for one I thought would have a ton of stuff and didn't have anything!

hm. Well keep on them. What kinda guest book did y'all pick? I'm curious as we didn't do the normal guest book. Instead I made a time capsule of sorts where guests left their marriage suggestions for a good marriage or well wishes. We waited a full year before opening and reading them all.

Yeah Michaels failed me in so many ways. They didn't have cake sets in the store but they kept pointing me to their online section to buy it. And we opted not to bother because they couldn't tell us the starting prices and or how long it would take for them to get the items to us. Bad business move for a place that should have some on hand, in my opinion anyway.
