While I would not use this feature myself, I can see where it has it's usefulness and I support the implementation of this feature.

As for whether or not there should be a cool down period... I liked the suggestion of a 5 minute cache cool down, but only for turning gifting back on. There should be no wait to turn it off.

In regards to Luminaire, if gifting is turned off, then it should be universally turned off. There shouldn't be loopholes for certain things or events just because it's "that event!" and both made a valid point. There are going to be times where people don't want gifts, and there are going to be people who feel so overwhelmed by gifting that it's not going to matter what the source of it is.

Ultimately, if this feature is put in place, it needs to be put in place across the board. Not cherry picked as to what it applies to.
