I wish I could buy DVDs and other merchandise, but the price is problem for me. Often shipping costs can be as much or more than the price of actual item. -.- And last time I bought DVD it ended up being for some other area (even if the site said they have DVDs for pretty much every continent) and couldn't be watched on Europe. Sigh. Why it is so difficult to find right stuff for right price?
Merchandises are expensive, so is shipping. I usually try to get what I really want (or if I have extra money, which is hella rare). Going to anime cons can be good tho. Save up on shipping and taxes too.
Mission completed. 8) I never really bought any merch from AmiAmi since I try to stay away from the temptation, but yeah. Generally the shipping that comes from any country outside of your own is insane unless you somehow manage to snatch a discount coupon/code or end up buying over $50/$100 worth of things for free shipping but hahaha.
Those figures look so fricking adorable though. UGH. Do you put them on display and clean them from time to time or are you like my older brother who puts them on the shelf and just leaves them in dust? lmao
I know. Rightstuff was 19$ shipping unless you spend 240$ on merchs, which I won't do x)! I'm not a fan of Ebay, so I tend to buy from Amazon. Especially for Banpresto figures.
They will be my first figures. I'll surely dust them when I clean the house. I know some people keep them in their box too..
I have never been to animecon, I would like to go if there ever comes opportunity to for me to participate. :)
Now that I have watched Game of Laplace to the end I have to say that it was good and interesting topic but the main cast was so stupid/annoying that I couldn't really enjoy that anime.
IT IS FINALLY HERE http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2015-09-18/final-blood-blockade-battlefront-episode-airs-on-october-3/.93096
should i finish laplace? i stopped at ep 2 while it was airing xD
@ Xealias
Good news and good that it will be a longer episode. The show seems to be all over the place so I think it needs longer ending to make sense and tie in to that letter seen in the first episode.
My dislike for Game of Laplace is mainly because of characters. The theme and ideas themselves are interesting, I like murder mysteries, but the main character is just type I don't like. The main character Kobayashi is bored of everything and this seems to include the fact that he is alive. He only gets interested in things when people start dying. For me it looks like he gets more fun/entertainment out of the deaths than the actual murderers themselves, but he is very unmoved about those too, he just doesn't have much facial expression except confusion for why people are shouting either annoyedly or worriedly to him. I don't remember any scene where he would have shown even slightest sign of being sorry or sad about anything. He doesn't listen to others and ignores everyone's opinions except his own. I think he is a real psychopath, he doesn't kill himself but gets his fun from people dying so he can play detective. As a character I dislike him more than Kuubey from Madoka Magica just because he simply doesn't care about anything. If he were a real person I would avoid him like a plague. Well, I would avoid almost all anime characters from any anime if they were real. ;) The second main Akechi is more tolerable, but he has this whole "I'm a genius so nobody understands me and other people annoy me" thing going, which also irks me. Just because someone is intelligent doesn't mean that they must be antisocial hermit. I had to kind of force myself to watch all of the episodes so if you stopped watching it early on you probably won't find the rest of the episodes worth watching unless you are interested about the cases for their horror factor.
Someone else might see characters in a different light so I'm interested in hearing other opinions.
Edit, since so much time has passed. :)
Second season of Haikyuu! started. I have really missed those idiots. ^-^ I don't like volleyball at all and I don't understand it, but I like the energy of that series and I really like all of the characters. Watching Haikyuu! leaves me in such a good mood.
I have also watched first episodes of following animes:
Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen Looks interesting and my first impression is that I like this anime.
Gakusen Toshi Asterisk Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry These two look same to the point that I almost had feelings of deja vu. My first thought was "didn't I just watch this yesterday?" when watching other of the two following day. I don't even remember which I watched first anymore. I think I watch the second episodes too and play spot the difference. :P
Young Black Jack Another interesting looking anime that's about medical student. I'm seriously afraid of needles so I don't know if I can watch this. I also get that this is prequel to something, either manga or anime, but I'm not familiar with original works/series.
Shingeki! Kyojin Chuugakkou I have no words XD
I'm going to try and watch episode of 1 of other starting animes too, but I don't think I will finish all of them.
What series have you watched or are planning to watch? And how did you like them?
Well, the new season of anime has started. Right now I'm watching:
Young Black Jack One Punch Man Starmu Dance With Devils (this show was legitimately hilarious, it was amazing. I know it looks like another fujo pandering thing...and it is, but it's funny so w/e I'm gonna keep watching it.)
As always I am continuing to watch Pripara.
Also, I kinda want to complain about the ending of gakkou gurashi last season. The last episode felt so lackluster. They built up so much tension only to have everything resolved in the first half...I dunno. Maybe I should read the manga. The ending just felt so abrupt and unsatisfying.
I'm so behind in anime :'( sadly since I stopped watching for 2 years and finally came back :D! I'm currently watching Toradora which is from few years ago and I'm enjoying it ^_^.
I'm also seeing the new season of anime on and off because I usually like to watch them until they are completed.
Have you given Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu a chance?
