Gaia had manage to find her sunglasses in her pocket and had put them on. Even in the Great Hall the lights were bothering her. "Morning, had fun at the ball?" Gaia said while passing the Vanilla creamer to Fade ()

“Yeah, it was a good time.” He said while rubbing his face. “Glad to be out of that stuffy costume…” In all honesty it took him twice as long to get out of it that it had taken him to put it on. Thankfully he dumped some of the vanilla creamer that had passed over into his mug and inhaled the aroma. Reaching across the table he also grabbed a few raspberries from a dish and plopped two into his drink as well before eating the rest. Strange perhaps but he was too tired to really care. “That troll was a trip wasn’t it? What do they do with it afterwards, just drag it back into the woods?” He had been tempted to sneak back down to where the Ball had been held just to see, but it was much too far to walk and being alone at night after a situation like that gave him chills.

She threw her hair up in a bun and slipped into the comfiest clothes she could find before leaving for the Great Hall. "Barely in time for breakfast," she muttered to herself as she walked in. She stopped for a moment; the Hufflepuff table seemed rather empty. Scanning the groups of people she noticed a bunch of the people she had met last night and, shrugging her shoulders, walked over and sat across from Fade (). She poured herself a cup of hot peppermint tea and reached for a baguette slice and butter. Looking up at everyone, she greeted them a good morning and went on to spread butter across her baguette when she felt something rub against her leg. She froze and cautiously peered beneath the table. A cat?

She'd begun to eat in silence; she was never fully awake until she ate anyway, but especially on days like this where she was absolutely exhausted.

"Want one?" she asked Aderyn, offering a sausage on a fork, since the plate was farther away from her girlfriend than others.

"Hey Fade, Sauvage," Emmy said tiredly, nodding at each of them as they sat down.

She heard a mew and felt something brush on her leg and looked down to see Chase, Fade's cat, meandering around their legs, clearly looking for scraps. She broke off half of a piece of bacon and clucked her tongue at the cat to get its attention, then held out the bacon for it to take.

Millie sleepily entered the Great Hall with her cat, Cleo, in tow. She laid her Ancient History textbook, flash cards, and quill off to the side. Then she placed some bacon, two fried eggs, and a tattie scone on a plate and sat down at the Hufflepuff table. She poured a cup of English Breakfast tea and sprinkled some sugar in it. "Good morning, Emmy, Sauvage, Aderyn, and Fade. How did everyone sleep? I'm been studying for my Ancient History exam so much, I'm starting to see Greek letters everyone I look."

Looking up from his mug just as Emmy () was greeting , Fade almost fell out of his seat. A mixture of guilt and anxiety washed over him, and his hair unconsciously demonstrated the fluctuation in mood as it kaleidoscoped from blue into a greenish yellow tint. Realizing that his hair was changing so rapidly only made him blush worse. Thankfully Chase was doing a good job of distracting everyone so Fade could assume some semblance of control.

Chase hurriedly gobbled up the bit of bacon Emmy offered to him, and bumped her hand with his head when it was empty. Making an adorable ‘murr’ sound he happily began rubbing against all the legs beneath the table hoping to be rewarded again. But when Millie () and Cleo came toward the table, Chase paused and kept his eye on the new cat. He was feeling a bit feisty and competitive for treats.

Sauvage nudged the cat playfully with her foot, watching him chow down on a piece of bacon from Emmy. She looked up just in time to notice unease cross Fade's face (). She nodded towards him, honestly unsure of what could be wrong, and said, "Hey, are you okay?" She hoped she hadn't said anything last night that upset him. Or maybe he felt bad for forgetting their dance? Sauvage smiled; a little touched at the thought of that being the reason he was so flustered.

Sauvage returned Millie's good morning and, listening to Millie (), Sauvage sucked in a gasp at the mention of a test. She wasn't in history...but she forgot to study charms. Again. Sauvage groaned and slumped over, smacking her forehead to the table.

Millie sat down on the bench and Cleo sat down next to Millie's feet. Cleo sat there with her long, fluffy tail wrapped around her legs watching Millie fix her plate and cup of tea and blinked slowly. Millie took some cat treats from her pocket and placed them on the floor for Cleo and softly clicked her tongue towards Chase. "Don't worry Chase, I have some for you too if it's okay with Fade".

Millie saw Sauvage's face fall when she mentioned her Ancient History test. "You okay Sauvage?" Millie asked. She was one of the few students taking Ancient History. She had been studying it since her first year and her father said it would be useful for International Law.

Sauvage took a deep breath, exhaling dramatically, and looked up at Millie with her head still on the table. "Yeah...I just forgot to study for Charms. I'm so bad at this class!" She lifted her head from the table and threw her hands in the air, exasperated. "I don't know if my pronunciation is wriong, or if it's my motions, but my charms always come out a little off." She folded her arms and began to sulk. "I should just stick to potions. At least that's something I know I'm good at."

"Oh no! Do you want to meet in the library later? I'm pretty good at charms. I struggle with Astronomy the most. I don't know why. I just have so many other things going through my head during that class

"Yeah!" Sauvage smiled, her voice chipper than before. "That would be great. I'm no expert at astronomy either, but I could try and help you too, if you want."

"That would be great. We can go up after our food settles if that works for you".

"Uh, yeah, sure. That works for me. I'll have to grab my books first. And some parchment for notes." She said this a bit reluctantly; she didn't want to study, but she knew that she needed it.

"Okay, sounds good. I'll need to go get my books and parchment as well. I'll meet you over there".

Sauvage turned to address everyone else at the table. "Anyone else want to come study with us?"

“Yeah, I’m great!” He answered ’s question in a hurry, and tried to keep from blushing too terribly again. “You good? Er, that is. You look fine. I mean, well…” It was a little early for him to be attempting any sort of civilized conversation it would seem. To distract himself from turning as red as the Gryffindor tablecloths, he glanced beneath the table at his cat. Looking back up at Millie () he nodded. “Sure thing, just try to not give him the entire bag… Cuz little dude will totally eat them all if you let him.” Chase gave Fade a look as if to say ‘how dare you’ but quickly warmed up to Millie and the treat she offered.

As far as studying was concerned, Fade could really use the help. But he hated to ask for it, and always felt like he was an inconvenience when he did. “I’m staying here over break this time so I’ll have lots of time for that stuff. But thanks for the offer.” Finishing his coffee he nudged Chase under the table with his foot. “I think they were planning an event later, sort of like a send off. Maybe I’ll see you guys there?”

Millie poured a few treats in her hand and offered them to Chase (). After sniffing her, he ate the treats. Millie looked down at Cleo and noticed her cat looking at Chase but turned away and started grooming herself. She leaned down and rubbed the spots in front of Cleo's ears. "I'll pop in after getting some studying down, Fade. I'll see you later."

Aderyn was glad when Emmy joined them, and she waved at the other newcomers, too. She reached out and gave Fade's cat a few scritches as the animal wandered around near their feet, then nodded at Emmy.

"Yes, please! I'll take a few!"

"Okay, well, that's good." Sauvage said to Fade (). She could tell he seemed a bit nervous and didn't want to make him feel more awkward. "Anyway," she went on. "Last night was fun. She would get together again sometime. Maybe you could come study with us? It'll be pretty casual, and I could probably use all the help I can get." She smiled, hoping he had calmed some. "Just...think about it," she said.

Sauvage turned to Millie (), who looked like she was finishing up. "Do you want to head out soon? I don't really have anywhere to be today so it's up to you."

Millie was finishing up with her breakfast. "I'm ready when you are. We can walk back to common room together. I'm going to leave Cleo in there because she tends to get feisty while in the library."
