I'm transcribing interviews while simultaneously translating the audio into English and it honestly takes like, 5 minutes to get through every minute of the tape. Plus listening to a recording of yourself is always rather unpleasant. I have looped the entire Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack under the audio at least 5 times in the past few days to fool myself into thinking that I'm doing very epic work but even that has stopped working. Any suggestions for a new soundtrack? :|

Urg, I know the feeling. Transcribing is such monotonous work. Pirates of the Caribbean was a good choice though - I sometimes listen to the full Harry Potter soundtrack when I need some background music. It's like 8 straight hours of soundtrack goodness.

does opening and closing the same excel workbook count as being productive?! i am done with numbers today :c

i recommend not gorging on your lunch hour as it just makes you sleeepy!

also, LOTR soundtrack is a good shout if you're looking for epic music.

Good call! Inception had its run as well but I haven't put HP on yet, I'll give that a go in the afternoon. :) I'll be sure to give LOTR a try too (actually reading The Hobbit right now!) I actually find myself just switching tabs between different spreadsheets trying to look busy while actually taking a break from transcribing so I don't get busted by my supervisor. xD

LOTR is a good recommendation too! I've never thought of Inception - I might throw that on right now!

Yea it was really bad on humid days like I hated going to class. LUCKILY there are a lot of wind tunnels from being in a valley and all the buildings on campus that the wind kinda takes the smell away :p
