Oh, I agree that I want them all NOW NOW NOW Veruca Salt mode and the patches in what is and isn't certain colors is very strange. It's that 'well, I mean, it's not consistent but I can... understand ???' sort of mentality for me. Except for the nuclear Bhakoru, Harvester, and Hipottu. I am far less understandable of those not being released at the moment.

Honestly, the gold needs to be rethought. They aren't really gold so much as shiny yellow.

Gold is inconsistent. Some are awesome, most are alright, and some are terrible.

I'd also like to see consistency with Dusk and Dawn, and another green recolors, so that we can have a green Neela and Legeica.

And I get the missing psd thing may cause a delay. But maybe instead of having the staff that are capable of doing pets make new food items or whathaveyou, they can be tracing the existing Spectrum pets to make new psds to use for the Blacklight pets? It doesn't seem all that difficult, more a matter of prioritization. More dipped apples for the Carnival shop? Or a Blacklight pet (that may actually generate some income for the site, since the potion is a cash shop item)? Seems like a no brainer to me but appparently the PTB don't see it the same way

It IS a start, and I am sure some will just think I am being a negative nelly, but personally I would have prefered to see those saved for October and different ones released today, Cherry seems much more fitting with Summer than Nuclear.

But better these than nothing :)

The release schedule always makes me a bit sad. It really sucks when a holiday ends and the one pet you were hoping for wasn't released, and now you have to wait an entire year for another chance. I understand the reasoning, but I wouldn't mind if we got some random off-season pet colors every now and then.

That's one of the few things I still like about neopets: they can release any pet in any color at any time of the year, so there's always a chance you'll see the combination you're looking for.

I also understand wanting to have an art buffer, but I'd rather you use newer colors (like cherry and silver, or that turquoise you mentioned) for that, instead of old colors like nuclear that very well could have been finished years ago. If you're intentionally planning for colors to take 8-10 years to complete, then that means a lot of us won't see our most desired species/color combinations in our Subeta lifetimes.

I mean I've been waiting for the right color for my mahar for 7 years now, and I think that's still the most neglected species. I think only the bhakoru and noktoa have fewer colors? And I know the mahar has an artist. The anticipation is killing me. :( If it has colors waiting around in the art buffer, then that's almost unfair in my mind.

I think my point is that we all have different tastes, and it pays to keep our interest year-round. If that means releasing nuclear and glacier pets in July or nightmare pets in December, then I'm sure you can find a way to spin it so that it makes canonical sense. Otherwise there are some people who only see appealing pet releases once a year.

I might be a bit biased because I don't care for gold too much, ahaha But really, even looking at the various colors of gold… Subeta's is generally wrong. The signature Bean did for Jessyta is what I would love Subeta to aim for, honestly. Yellows, oranges, browns, and even a touch of green. I think two of the best are: Darkonite because of the color choice and a bit of added highlights, the tigrean because of the added highlights giving it that extra gold look. Gold is very reflective and shines like mad. If all of the pets had that then I could see them being golden, but most of them just kind of don't, or have it too subtle. This is also my issue with silver, honestly, because it looks more gray.
