I don't see pages being easier.. If I don't have auto-sort because I wanted a rainbow or something, then a red sticker at the back page is going to be a pain to move to the front page (assuming we are still dragging stuff around and new sticker still appear at the bottom/back). The bigger the album, the more pages you have too.

I agree that we could use something but I'm not sure if pages are easier.
