Yeah, I first joined subeta many years ago. My account has since gone to the nether, too. I don't remember anything about Subeta, though. So I'm just in the newbie stage like everyone else.

Laughs I've never been one to do restocking. I do not enjoy the buying and selling atmosphere. I guess I'll just keep my desires on this site low bar!

Hello, I love your UN. I have had an account on Neo since May of 2000, I check on it occasionally to make sure it's still there. haven't heard of the neopocalypse at all. I haven't played in about ten years there though because of all the god awful changes.... but an account that old is nice to have y'know ?

I don't do a whole lot on here, just play, quest, run in the wardrobe and pet the pets... or something. I really want to find the time to get their profiles done, but I get busy with other stuff. I can't draw, but I can dick around in gimp and make sort of abstract stuff that looks nice. I like music and have a wide interest in many many genres and generations. I have a teenager who lives with me who is my favorite person in the whole world, three cats and a little dog.

I love tea. I get all of mine from this shop called San Francisco Herb Co that my sweetie turned me onto years ago (He lives in the Bay Area and adores them). I drink at least two cups a day, in the morning either oolong or a sen cha green we actually got from a little japanese shop, it's quite nice. I also have SFHerb's Mango, Vanilla, Peppermint, Spearmint, Roobios, Honeybush Red, Rose Hips and Hibiscus, I have a butt ton of spices from there and a massive massive jar of catnip for the idiot cat butts who live here. Oh and raspberry leaf. I will blend the mango and green sometimes, and hibiscus and rose hips are so so delightful together. Peppermint is great for upset stomachs. a mix of raspberry leaf and either spearmint or peppermint the teenager uses for her ladytime cramps and it helps her feel a lot better. I can't stand traditional bagged tea anymore it's so bitter and gross now.

Welcome! I'm a big fan of Chamomile tea. My garden is currently being overrun with wild chamomile that I harvest for tea, along with wild mint, clover, dandelions, yarrow and out of control raspberry vines. My neighbors hate me.

I love drawing, but my home computer's in the shop so I haven't been able to scan/upload anything for ages now. (It's driving me buggy)

Restocking is basically gone now since the update ;~; broken heart and my desires are high... LOL!

It's good to find other defectors from Neopets! It used to be my go to whenever I wanted to feel 10 again. After the Neopocalypse, I felt like any innocence left of the internet of the 90's (at the risk of sounding overly dramatic) died. One thing that seems to remain a constant - the internet LOVES virtual pets. I found several dozen Neopet-like sites, but I gotta say this one's pretty impressive so far. Far superior art to say the least. And I like having a human avatar! Anyway, good to meet you all.

For you and others who haven't heard the tale of the Neopocalypse 2015: It happened on June 28, when the new company running neopets (the inexperienced Jumpstart, who got Neopets from the dreadful Viacom) tried to switch the servers and accidentally turned off the filters, and the mods were nowhere to be found. As soon as the filters were off, the long repressed and excessively censored neopets community went balistic. Many users rebelled against the censorship and started saying all kinds of naughty things when the filters turned off. There were beautiful and ugly things happening. On the ugly side was cursing, porn, racial slurs, harassment, and other unpleasant business. The ugly side is what scared many people away. On the beautiful side: people were able to talk about their love lives and come together to express their gender and sexual identities and form bonds with other players who were in similar life situations. People could talk about their families or medical issues for the first time, or describe their partners or children without moderation. There was also a funny side, where people were doing odd things, like posting the entire script to the movie shrek, or taking turns singing lyrics from songs. However, for a couple days the neopets boards, message system, petpages, pet lookups, and user lookups were all deactivated. During that time the only way to talk to other neopians was on facebook. Some people suggested we go to subeta, so that's how I ended up here. As a whole, I thought the Neopocalypse 2015 incident was amazing. Parts of it were terrible and terrifying (I have an extreme fear of nudity, for example), but I'm glad it happened. People who would not have been able to talk about themselves were able to come together with others like them, and that thrills me. I am also glad that it may have given the new company, Jumpstart, an idea of what they are dealing with. Neopets isn't composed of elementary students. These are mostly teenagers with many, many adult players (who have been playing a decade or more). We shouldn't have to be treated like we live under a dictatorship and have to speak like children. There should still be filters for decency, but not to the degree that there are. I am hoping they realize that this event was a REVOLT and reconsider how the filters are handled. Words like tweed, weed, uncle, advertisement, kill, skill, and all the other ridiculous words that are banned should be taken out of the filter. SIGH. Thus ends my long explanation and my outlook on the event. I spend most of my time on neopets with my characters, or with friends on the neopound. I love App Chat, because there I can meet other players who love making characters as much as I do! I wonder if there is a group like that on Subeta?

Oh man. When I saw the names Honeybush Red and Rose Hips and Hibiscus, I got super excited. San Francisco Herb Co is now added to my list of teatime wishes!!!

You make me wish I could grow things. It has been a dream of mine to someday have an herb garden. My mum lives in the country and has a sprawling garden with blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, figs, cherries, pumpkins, squash, and lots of herbs that I don't know all the names to yet (though I want to learn). The basil usually smells the strongest, though. She doesn't have a rosemary bush yet, sadly. I would put rosemary and honey onto any dish ever. Steak: add rosemary and honey. Ice cream: add rosemary and honey. Cereal? Sandwich? Pudding? ROSEMARY AND HONEY! Alas, I can't grow my own herbs yet, because I still kill everything. I'm in a position in my life right now due to medical issues where I can barely take care of myself, let alone someone else. I had a beautiful bamboo friend, but even though I gave it sun and water, it wilted yellow. Gave it to my mum, and it turned green in a couple days. If she has a green thumb, mine must be the opposite... Red I guess. I have a murder thumb.

That literally made me snortlaugh. I wonder if such a thing exists, though.

In my defense I don't draw nearly as much as I ought to. I used to do a lot of digital work but my old tablet doesn't sync with my current computer, so I rarely draw anything that I would share online anyway.

Same here but I came to Subeta a few years back now and never looked back at any other pet sites. Neo used to be my fave site but then I found Nutrinopets, which shut down.

Welcome to Subeta! I used to neopet all the time also, I'd been playing for 14 years when I was hacked and frozen, and instead of helping me TNT then chain froze the rest of my accounts :/

I'm Jade and I've been Subeta'ing for a few months now and it's really fun once you get the hang of it, it's kind of like neo but with less restictions which is nice :)

I'm at University in London studying English Language and Teaching and probably considered a bit of a gamer. I play pretty much anything but have eternal love for Skyrim and the Kingdom Hearts series.

It always makes me sad when a pet site shuts down. I check VPL fairly often to see the ones that are budding, though. That always cheers me up. Plus, the peeps there are awesome.

Ugh. That terrifies me. I wonder if there's a guide out there on how to be paranoid and anal about making sure your accounts are safe and following all rules so it's easier to recover is something horrible happens....

I'm a little late to the welcoming party, but welcome to Subeta! :D A lot of people on here are really into creating worlds and backstories to go along with their pets/characters, so you'll fit right in! There's a whole market on Subeta centered around character art, custom profiles, and overlays. It's pretty sweet.

I'm a graphic design major with a passion for illustration and digital painting- I've yet to create any art for my characters on here though haha.

Tea is definitely the bomb. And specialty tea is especially awesome. I probably drink more tea than water haha. Do you have a favorite brand/variety? c:

well I'm not surprised there was a massive revolt. They've got ten years of repression and bad feelings pent up that were bound to explode.

SFHerb smells so good if you ever get to go there, oh god. It smells like heaven. The boxes they mail stuff in also smell like heaven too :D

I'm kind of over it now, but I'm a bit pissed because my oldest account was frozen for "cheating" even though the only game I had played was Chia Bomber 2.... And didn't get a trophy or avatar score so what??? And then I invested a LOT of time into my new account hypocratis, fed like 400~ kads and was premium, bought nc, spent a LOT of money on the sites and had all my dreamies ect. Then I was inbetween houses and moving and got hacked, I asked around and people saw my account buying/selling/giving away my pets which really peeved me off and I sent screenshots of the NM's to TNT and they just said if I didn't have any "proof" that I was hacked they wouldn't give my account back. So I made another account to basically warn people that I was hacked ect and TNT chain froze my new main and remaining sides so.... I gave up. I prefer Subeta to be honest though!

LOL, "Neopocalypse" XD I came from Neopets too. I played Neopets during my primary school and earlier half of high school years. I came here after I got seriously bored with Neopets. Might have clicked on a link or someone mentioned it. I honestly don't recall.

I want to get to meet some people here, but don't really know how to make friends. If you are an artist, post links to your poetry, stories, photographs, illustrations, etc. If you just enjoy the arts, tell me about your favorites! We can talk books or games!

Authors I prefer reading: J.K. Rowling, Richelle Mead, Kristin & P.C. Cast. But I honestly don't mind reading books. And I can say I'm not fussy with foods. I can eat or drink anything as long it's not spicy, smelly or coffee. I also like herbal and fruity teas too and detest caffeinated teas. Ew.

My interests, other than books, are with Asian cultures, in particular, Korean, Japanese and Chinese. Especially with Asian music. I watched a lot of anime in my teens too. My current username originates from a manga character by the authors/artist CLAMP (not the user CLAMP).

And as implied, we're all a friendly bunch on Subeta. :D

Oh, and I study a health science degree, Food Science & Technology somewhere in Australia. :)
