I like Subeta a lot better than Neopets. I actually haven't been on Neopets for more than 15 minutes since joining Subeta. Subeta has better quality pets, custom avatars, tons of quests, games that pay out well, more collections, etc. I find it much easier to gain points on here and you can actually achieve the things you want to on this site. It seems like this site is always creating new events to keep people interested and has achievements that you can work towards. Plus, you can actually make a good amount of points off of the free items you receive. Glad I made the switch!

I'm a convert as well from Neopets. I still like neopets' features, but how it's being handled is just soooo terrible x.x

Basically anything that Neo does, Subeta does better. There have only been two things I've found that I prefer the Neo way, and I can never remember what they are. One is something to do with battling, and I can't remember the other at all.

• Anything can be wearable, unlike on Neo where items are either wearable or not-wearable.
• Wardrobe layering!
• You can send CS (and CSC itself) items to people easily, no need for a gift box.
• CSC can be bought with in-game currency
• Pets and users can be renamed (though it does cost money, see previous point)
• Pet overlays! Plus they can be made permanent/official on the site for what I think is quite a reasonable price.
• You can actually make money easily, as you've discovered.
• Staff that actually COMMUNICATES OPENLY with its users and LISTENS to their suggestions and feedback. Very, very few websites have that (not just pet sites, but I'm talking about big names like FB and tumblr). It helps that Subeta is just altogether smaller, but it's still something I'm very grateful for.

There are so many more things that I can't even think of right now. And this isn't even mentioning the relative maturity of the userbase, as well as the generosity... really, I could just go on and on about Subeta vs. Neo.
