I've been playing Neopets since I was about 8 years old on and off (I was introduced to it when the McDonald's toys came out!). I am now 18. So I guess that means I've been playing for 10 years. Holy cow!

Hate to say it but Neo has a special place in my heart to this day. I just enjoyed it so very much when it was still successful. I had so many memories, staying up until 4 a.m. on the computer desperately trying to make Neopoints. I've tried getting back into it since then but it just doesn't appeal.

I was introduced to Subeta by a friend on Reddit, and I have to say that I really like it so far. It's far more suited for adults, the mods are really cool, and it's way easier to play as far as currency is concerned (but it's still interesting!). Not to mention the artwork is lovely. I really am happy to become a part of it and I hope I find myself coming back frequently.

I'm another refugee from Neo. Left there about 3 years ago after they randomly froze a side account and wouldn't let me have it back, despite having screenshots and documentation to prove it was mine. Screw that. I played for 12 years, and I still log on to do dailies sometimes, but I rarely play. Didn't participate in the AC cup. With the latest round of crap, I'm done. I need to pound my pets on my side accounts and close it all down, but I'm lazy.

I escaped there years ago when Neo became way too commercial for me. I had been there before it had been bought out by big business. Subeta is way better.

I came here over 8 years ago after neo froze my account for scamming my account was hacked when I was in hospital seriously ill even though I could prove it was not me and where I was they would not give me the account back.

Neo logic was so screwed up they freeze my account for supposed scamming and in the same notice from them they told me I could make another account logical I think not.

They allowed people to put keyloggers in their codes for shops/galleries that was how my account was hacked.

I came from there after some problems in October. Never looked back since.

But despite that, Neopets will always hold a special place in my heart since it was my "escape" from reality as a kid, although my love now is Subeta.

I used to play neopets when I was younger. This is much better though.

I've been here for five years, but am still somewhat active on Neo after ten years. I tend to go between the two depending on how my interests shift. I still have a lot of friends on Neo that I have no other way of keeping contact with and that is mostly why I keep my account. I've decided to stop putting any money toward the site though as the disarray has become too severe.

I pretty much left Neo years ago when some whiner was offended by a photo of Gelert's grave in Wales, followed by William Robert Spencer's classic poem Beth Gelert, on my gelert's pet page, and nearly got me frozen. The concept of "bad" words over there was getting downright oppressive. I still have accounts over there but I only visit them when Subeta goes down. Shame, it was a fun site at one time.

I just came here recently from neo, when i first got here i didnt like Subeta nearly as much as neo. I felt like it was too easy to get a massive amount of sP, hell i still feel that way to be honest. But i also feel like its too hard to get NP on neo, but at the same time it does make it easier to set goals because the goals are harder to reach so you actually feel like you've earned your goals. I do find myself spending a lot more time on subeta lately simply because everything here is not broken like it is over on neo and the staff here are always around.

Every day i log into neo and do my dailies, check out the boards and its never anything but threads with titles like "WHY IS THIS BROKEN STILL??" or "I HATE YOU JS!" or "JS YOUR ART SUCKS." or "JS, YOU RUINED NEO AGAIN." And thats terribly disappointing to me because i grew up on neo and i still LOVE LOVE LOVE that i can customize my pets without having to actually pay CSC or $$ to get a custom pet (i am NO artist, im a coder, and a noob one at that, but my art is like a bad joke, i dont even know where to begin to try.)

I love that Neo is totally geared towards the pets and sort of dont like that on subeta the pets are pretty much an afterthought. Everything comes out for the HAs and you cant customize your pets unless your an artist or you pay for it. That makes me sad, i like my HA but id like it much more if i could dress up my pets too, or at least give them backgrounds. They are sentient after all...and its hard for me to come up with a personality for them when they look like every other 'chibi kerubi' (or w/e pet). I wouldnt mind paying CSC for a custom, but its usually WAY more CSC than i ever have, i do feel like its a bit too expensive for customs here. All the 'free customs' seem to fill up way faster than i even see them so thats mostly not an option for me either.

Anywaysss... Now that ive been rambling about my likes/dislikes. Ill say this, ill always love subeta and neo both. Once JS gets their stuff together ill most likely be on neo a lot more than here, assuming they ever do actually get their stuff together. I know there are lots of changes that have been and are going on around here so im glad that i can be here for that to see what subeta turns into. I sincerely hope that one day i can do something with my pets here, but thats just the neo in me talking. Lol.

Also, im SUPER excited for the new plot thats about to happen here. In 10 years ive never managed to be active for any plot on neo, so the fact that there is a plot here just a few weeks after i joined makes me insanely excited!

I came here because of the glitches and the lag on Neopets.

I've been with Subeta for 10+ years (woah.) ...came over with some like minded Neo peeps. Similarly to FCoD, my neo account is still active because I've had it forever (14ish+ years) and I worked ridiculously hard on it.

How could that be a reportable offense? The pet species "gelert" was explicitly inspired by that story.

I used to be on the site long ago, but it began feeling overly commercial and controlling around 2004. I cut my ties with it and never looked back. It wasn't worth maintaining just because of the sunk cost.

The new owners, and at least one traumatized player who reported it, felt the "blood" and "gore" was too graphic for their gentle players.

i left neo a couple months ago. i was wrongly frozen. i got my account back, but while it was frozen i came here. I had made my account here long ago, and never played. soo when i came back i already have a 4 year old account. I been collecting interest and thats it on neo. im giving myself a little more time to be sure im done...then im going to find a creative way to give everything away. i have a 13 year old account. very glad i came here!!!!

I loved Neopets as a kid. It was my favorite thing, even after I kept getting accidentally frozen and lost some good pets (RIP Island Gelert whose name i no longer remember) I kept coming back... it was like crack for me. I stopped playing shortly after they made the pets customizable because they ruined a lot of good art... Every few years I go back and make an account and play for a few months, but I get tired and eventually stop playing. I miss old Neo, then again, it might just be rose colored glasses. I dunno. I always liked Gelerts so much though.

Although a few years ago, I got a bunch of other college friends to start playing again and we made a delightful game called "spam everyone's inventory with Red Kelp". Good times.

Joined Subeta about... 6 years ago? Because even then Neopets was going downhill, granted between leaving Neo and joining Subeta there was a time gap where I trawled the net looking at the different petsites but Subeta was the only one I really liked since my main interests have always been clothes and battling :)

I quit neopets when they changed the art for the pets and made them customizable. I liked that they could be customized, but the old art looked so much better for a lot of the pets. I had one of those rare snake looking neopets (forgot what they are called) and they ruined her.
