I just finished solving and it fit perfectly interpreted that way, although I stumbled there, too. (I did think "playdate" first, though. :D)

I may have gotten it solved but messed up when finishing up the full grid, so I had to start over. headdesk Ah well.

also, for what it's worth, if they are brothers and one is a fake, all of them are guilty -- unless it's a /very/ good imitation and a fast study.

Also, i'm not sure I understand the doppleganger thing. A doppleganger looks like someone but they are all identical quintuplet's anyways so they already all look the same ..?

On the first part, it's just the second one.

As to the other, it's le sigh one of those "single word, and "no matter which one you pick, Rowan, you're screwed" things. There wasn't really any term I could come up with the single out one of these quints that someone wouldn't have a problem with. This just seemed to be about the best one--all of the quints was just useless and stupid, but good. This is a the one who had an Unseelie assumes his appearance to infiltrate. Yes, it could have been any of them, but you're only looking for the one described by the clues.
