The straight to the collection option ensures that no one cheats and says "oh yeah totally going to read these to my pet/put these in my collections" which is why there is a discount for them.

If putting them in the collection yourself or reading/feeding your pet is personally important, you can still buy the fully priced ones and feed/read/add to collection, it just costs a lot more :)
